Derek Kevan and Jimmy Campbell on the attack against Burnley, 6th September 1958

Well, doesn't it feel like a long time now since we kicked off our season by making back-to-back wins against Bournemouth and Burnley? As we enter the final straight, it's entirely possible that we could make it back-to-back defeats against Bournemouth and Burnley to add to the fine string of Ls already against Pardew's name in the form book, like some demented game of alphabet Tetris. If, as the saying goes, it's the hope that kills you, then we should really take the time to thank Albion for keeping us all well and truly on this mortal coil the last couple of months.

Still, Burnley will be the first opponent in our run-in to have reached effective safety this season, and there's always the slim chance that they might take their beach holiday as early as we always used to. Easter is, after all, a time of resurrection; and if it happens that our survival chances don't spring back to life on Saturday, then at least there's always the recourse of sealing myself in a cave for three days. And then some.

Apart from last weekend when we didn't have a game I was in a good mood...

This has to stop soon for their sakes (Only Joking)

Will this ever end ....? Probably, after game 38 has finished then we can all enjoy the Weekends again Rolleyes

Also as mentioned on another post Daniel Sturridge who was definitely back after the International break erm won't be Doh
Hearing he won't be available till 7th April............
That's Swansea at home
Until the Swansea game comes around of course Whistle

Must admit after seeing the Bm'th game it seemed like a break to the seaside with no worries, no concerns, and no cok ups in my predictions, though now the dreaded lurgy is again developing the closer we get to Saturday always hoping we will win, then back to the black pit again.  When will it end?

We would still forget to change the Magnets in the goals at half time Gaz,
Thus making us still lose as they would have more shots than us during the Magnetized 45 minutes of Football we had with the magnetic ball in the first half compared to the 45 minutes of Football they had with the magnetized ball in the second half Thumb up
Hope that clears that up then Whistle

Daniel Sturridge has been a waste of a signing. For someone as good as he can be, his injury record is becoming more atrocious as each season passes. He is either the most unlucky guy in the world with injuries or, and this is what I think, he has a mental and physical block where minimal pain that most people could play through becomes a big stumbling block for him to play and train.

3 centre backs on the field and 2 more on the bench?
Still, plenty of I-spy points for Gabr on the bench.
