here's an idea - pieandabovril - 27-10-2014 I know a number of us would like to meet up at the vine prior to a match, but I also know there are a lot of baggies on here who for mainly cost purposes can't make it.how about if we pick a match, has to be Saturday 3 o,clock ko.and those of us who maybe are lucky enough to have a bit of spare cash chip in and try and help out with cost s? I can then get tickets en block for us all. Pick a cheapo home game close to end of season We can do this lads just need to know numbers who can chip in and who can't RE: here's an idea - drewks - 27-10-2014 But count me in, all things being equal
RE: here's an idea - Luke_East_Baggie - 27-10-2014 A cheap home game is usually £20 or £25 a ticket? I'm in as well (already met Dave before (Y) ) so if we get a bit of notice should be fine! RE: here's an idea - derbybaggie - 27-10-2014 What about if we don't actually like each other when we meet or it's a big disappointment? Here am I sat in Derby in awe picturing what you are all like: Ska'd is clearly a literary genius with a knowledge of the Albion that makes my own memory seem like a sieve with dementia and additional holes drilled in for good measure. I would imagine he looks a bit like a cross between John Grisham and Louis Carroll Stairs - An insightful inquisitor getting straight to the nub of the issue and watching rivals squirm. A bit like Jeremy Paxman crossed with David Frost and a dose of Anne Robinson Josh - An intellectual master mind, full of statistics, formations, facts and figures is what he lives for. If he was born a bit earlier would have broken the enigma code and the Rubik cube in the half time interval. Brains from Thunderbirds comes to mind. BaggieVicar is probably just like his avatar but I'd always pictured his parishioners as characters out of the Vicar of Dibley And Beefy? Sorry guys couldn't resist but I'd be up for it. We could actually play a game trying to guess who everyone is when they turn up. RE: here's an idea - pieandabovril - 27-10-2014 Ha,nice one Derby, that's 4 of us so far,not been to vine for a few years,so,somebody fill us in with what's it's like these days RE: here's an idea - WBA-Josh - 27-10-2014 I will be interested in this. We had a similar idea on the old BBC 606 for everyone to meet before a match and it never came to fruition. The only problem for me is that money is very tight at the moment and I would have to travel up from Cornwall. However, if my business and website start to take off, I may start to make some money from it. The following picture is Beefy on one of his special Saturday night Chatroulette sessions. ![]() Resist the urge to now stab your eyes out.
RE: here's an idea - pieandabovril - 27-10-2014 First of all josh, you travel up from Cornwall!!! Any one seen the inbetweeners film where they all wear pink t-shirts? Once I know numbers I know a baggies mate who will print them off for us for the cost of a couple of pints, print names on them too!!! RE: here's an idea - Dingle-Dingle - 27-10-2014 I always imagined Boofy to look like that guy on the rubber ring in the old Trivago ad. DD
RE: here's an idea - pieandabovril - 27-10-2014 How about 11th April at home to Leicester? I think pink shirts with our names on them and maybe a funny slogan and picture would be a great idea. Make sure to ask the guy if they can make shirts in xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxl for Beefy. Leicester at home sounds good. We will hopefully be away from the relegation zone by then. |
