No Thank You - Arcane Astral Aeons - 22-02-2018
should Pardew be sacked
then no way should we appoint Potter
should`nt even be thinking about giving him our managers job.
manages a team in Sweden in what amounts to our second or even third tier
ok they are doing well in their league
and as i type are beating Arsenal 2-0 at the emirates(3-2 Arsenal Aggregate)
but as for him being a premier league manager never happen
we are as good as gone
so imo we must stick with Pardew
and see where we are at the end of the season
but Potter for me is a no-no

Totally respect your opinion fella but I do have to disagree.
Any manager who oversees the absolute balls up that was our Barcelona training camp needs to go. Not necessarily saying I'd want Potter but Pardew is on the thinnest of ice now and I'd struggle to see him lasting much longer.

In the future Graham Potter will be a Premier League manager but he needs to stay with Östersunds for a few more years, win the league and maybe another cup and then come to the Championship with a promotion chaser and go up from there.
From Östersunds to the Premier League in one go will be a big jump for him and one that could be too much too soon.

but you can blame the manager for showing a complete lack of management, that's his job!!! He clearly has no respect from certain players and is incapable of instilling any discipline. How can he possibly justify reinstating Evans as captain and last week picking Barry and Evans to start. This season is gone, get rid now and start the preparation for next season.

As much as I hated Pulis for the brand of football he brought with him I'd doubt he'd have given the team the excuse to go out on the piss in Barcelona instead of training.
I'm not expecting Pardew to have to baby sit the players, they're grown blokes and should know better. What I do expect though is for him as the manager to have the respect of the players. The incident shows that they do not respect his orders. And if they can't follow a simple instruction to be back at a hotel for a particular time, I don't have faith in them taking on tactical instructions from him either.

Sometimes you've got to think outside the box and take a gamble on an up and coming young manager,
rather than just recycling the same old tired, predictable faces for the same old tired, predictable results.
Seriously, how could he be any worse than Pardew and Pulis?
Anyone who can take a team of that size into Europe, perform reasonably well, has to have something
a wee bit special going for them.
Perhaps he has the x-factor we require?
Lets face it, some team somewhere is going to go in for him...... Why not us?

People say a move for Potter to the Premiership would prove too big a switch too soon and he should be cutting his teeth on the second or third tier of English football.... well with relegation an almost certainty, he would if appointed be in the second tier.

This I agree with what have Pardew , Pulis etc done for us,
why not take a chance for once others have ?

I think Potter has done a remarkable job at Ostersund. I think appointing him may depend on what league we’re in and when we seek to change the manager. If we survive, the owner will stick with Pardew I reckon. If we are relegated, I’d really like to see us appoint a young, ambitious manager with fresh ideas- like Graeme Potter, who’s also prepared to develop a young side. I agree that the time might not be right to appoint him into the Premier League but he’s the sort of guy I would love to see managing the Albion
