Killie v Hibs, Sat 24 Feb, KO 12.30pm - 0762 - 20-02-2018

Killie next on the fixture list and Hibs on a 'collision course' with Killie also in fine form and, in Killie's case, a long unbeaten run that presents a nice wee challenge for Hibs on another shit artificial pitch. We have previously beaten Killie at Rugby Park and this time we arrive with a faster-moving and slightly different attacking formation. Midfield is the key area for us and how we wanna play and I'd hope that Lenny has sussed the role of Killie's Mulumbu and try to marginalise his contribution to the game. Hopefully he'll field what I regard as our best defence with Darren Mac, Paul Hanlon and Efe in the back three.

Bartley back in starting line-up at Stevenson's expense?

If we can win this admittedly hard game, celtic beat the sheep and hertz get something at ibrox.......... Things could get very interesting indeed league wise.

A game of might have beens, Hibs holding on for a 2-2 draw after being 2 up inside 10 minutes. It seems to have been a right ding-dong match, but to get an away point against the in-form Kilmarnock must be taken as a good result.

This was a good quality game. However, on closer scrutiny, the referee officials have played a major role in both Killie's goals - the reason why Lenny has gone absolutely ballistic and will prob incur a 2-3 match ban!! Killie's 1st goal emanated from a corner that should not have been awarded because Rocky actually kept the ball in play and that was clearly shown on a BT Sport video replay!! Surely if an AR is not certain that a ball is over the bye line, he/she has no right to call it a corner and the game proceeds regardless!!!??? Then young Porteous penalised for blocking a bullet shot with his arm, at 3-4 yards distance, in the Hibs pen box!!! Thumb down Remember this guy is the same ref who denied Hibs a 'stonewall pk' at ER against Rangers defender, Bates, and has the gall to award that shit pk award today!! And he has the cheek to display a FIFA badge on his ref shirt!!! The draw is a good result for us but this is another pts loss to add to a damning list of refereeing errors by ref officials and Hibs have been victims on a good number of occasions - consequently incurred a loss of valuable additional pts!! Thumb down
Btw congrats to Paul Hanlon who could not play today due to a new addition to his family! Thumb up

Yup, 1st half pretty good performance on a shite surface. 2nd half kilmarnock were all over us and but for rocky probably would have won,so a draw was probably a fair result. Their first goal was absolutely unstoppable and the 2nd a very dubious pk to say the least. Lennon absolutely hit the roof, and although i agreed with what he said afterwards he is likely to get clobbered by the SFA.

Once again the officials have cost us points, clancy being one of the prime movers on that front. The guy should be demoted.

Yep! I listened to that interview and Lenny is 'spot on' but we need him in our dugout and not sitting in the stand! Btw he is certainly the right manager for Hibs - I like 'sore losers' with a great passion for the game and tactically astute - it 'rubs off' on our players to perform well! IMO we'll win the Holy Grail again under Lenny's stewardship!

GGTTH

Yeah, thats the downside really as he will get a 5 game ban.

That said i don't blame him for going off his nut at that refereeing performance, one of the worst i've seen and going by scottish fitba's crap standards that is really saying something. I mean he was literally just guessing at decisions yesterday.

Lennons point was to highlight how damaging these decisions are for us, clancy has cost us big time this season.

RE: Killie v Hibs, Sat 24 Feb, KO 12.30pm - 1Wattie - 26-02-2018

We all know that a referee only has a split second to make a decision but when it is made without having a clear view of the incident it borders on the ridiculous. If the ref is not 100% sure then he should not award the penalty, free kick etc and should be free to admit that openly.
Wrong decisions have cost us 8 or 9 points this season and those points would have seen us right in the fight for second place yet nothing is done to punish a referee who consistently makes mistakes that cost clubs points. One day it will be the difference between survival and relegation.

I must add that Clancy has been a poor ref for years! I can recall this ref's poor performances years ago, which were synonymous with Dallas as well, in the lower leagues at grounds such as Glebe Park, Bayview and the bbc radio match reports were damning with similar critical comments being uttered by attending fans! He was never an assertive ref of good standing and I'm damn sure Lenny knows that fact as well! I personally view his FIFA ref standing as laughable and I wonder how on earth the SFA provide such refs to be given this rating! It is certainly not earned after a proper performance process.
