Oscar Gobern - spireitematt - 23-10-2014 We've signed a player called Oscar Gobern from Huddersfield on loan. He's a midfielder. I think he's replacing Johnson because he"s going back to Villa after the Yeovil match. RE: Oscar Gobern - Mitzi - 23-10-2014 I hope he does well for you. He's a mainly defensive midfielder. Has had some good and some bad games for us but hasn't featured this season. (Can't remember now but think he may have been injured pre-season and never made it back into the 1st team squad.) Saw him playing for the U21s the weekend before last and he should have excelled at that level but just looked as if he couldn't be bothered with it. Hopefully the loan will do him good. RE: Oscar Gobern - Lord Snooty - 23-10-2014 I won't beat about the bush here, Spireite fans. He's shit! RE: Oscar Gobern - Devongone - 24-10-2014 Thanks for that Snoots, I'll go blind on him either scoring or being MOM first time out for us. That's how football works. RE: Oscar Gobern - Amelia Chaffinch - 24-10-2014 He's sparkled a couple of times but never been the future star that Lee Clark thought he would be. But a change of scene might be what he needs. RE: Oscar Gobern - bluepooch - 24-10-2014 Cookie has hardly made a bad signing yet so Im hoping that continues Gonna be a very interesting team selection tomorrow as Cookie says both Gobern and Gardner will be starting. Pleased for Gardner as Ive said all along with a run in the team he could be a star. Whatever happens its going be a very strong bench tomorrow, possibly containing at least 3 from Ryan ,Roberts,Banks and Johnson .i wonder if Lamb will get a run at some stage RE: Oscar Gobern - Devongone - 25-10-2014 I think in Lamb's case it should be more of a frolic. RE: Oscar Gobern - bluepooch - 26-10-2014 Went yesterday and although it wasnt great I thought we deserved something from the game .Walsall were surprisingly decent considering their league position. I was quite impressed with Gobern and it is clear thats where his best position is ,sat in front of the back four. RE: Oscar Gobern - Devongone - 26-10-2014 Reports of Walsall have suggested they can play attractively, but haven't been getting the rub of the green. Unfortunately another defeat now puts us under some pressure for the next two homes games - we need four points at least. Of course if we count Nando's brace we won 2-1. His goals and our lack of them make it look a bad move sending him on loan, but a few goals on loan might be just what's needed to kick-start his career. I'm sure his lookylikey Balotelli would be happy to ferry those goals across the Mersey at the moment. RE: Oscar Gobern - spireitematt - 13-11-2014 Oscar Gobern loan has finished 6 days early and he's gone back to Huddersfield. |
