Partick Thistle v Hibs, Sat 2 Dec, KO 3.00pm - 0762 - 29-11-2017

Another away match for Hibs and I think Lenny would have good justification to say, 'Same again barring injuries'! I notice Daz is back to full training again and I'd imagine Lenny will wanna gradually play him towards full match fitness as he looks forward to the challenge of 7 matches next month that will likely 'define our season'.

Yaaasssss. Hibs up to third with 0-1 victory....and this time we grinded out the win.

Lennon gave the team a 'pep talk' on the pitch after the interval.... He was a touch 'animated' shall we say Laugh Laugh

Yep! This was a good result for Hibs today in our first December fixture - another six fixtures to come and we'll see if the guys can 'push on' with a 'run of good form' during this challenging Xmas period.

The passion shown by Neil Lennon at full time clearly shows he's the man to take us forward. Fantastic

He recently commented in a bbc radio interview that the Hibs managerial role has been one of the most enjoyable ones that he has taken on and I believe him! You can see that it has demanded his full commitment and passion 'to the cause' and I reckon we'll win a trophy fairly soon with a 'bit of luck' of course but he is putting together a decent pool of players and he'll improve that squad further with the backing of the Hibs board!

We are still a 'work in progress' so to speak. But we haven't lost an away fixture since march, which if i remember rightly was a ropey defeat to dundee utd. Only rangers and celtic have scored more goals than us too.

I think its clear progress is being made.

From yesterday pleasing to note that Marciano might have had some dodgy moments of late but he made a couple of crucial saves yesterday, and boyle is like a different player under lennon and has really kicked on.

While we are all sure that Lenny has made good progress since coming to the club there needs to be some recognition from the board in the shape of them resisting stupid offers for our best players. It is widely accepted that all players have their price and Hibs are primarily a selling club we can never allow the sale of a complete squad like in the Petrie sell off.
The club owe our fans big time for the support and understanding when we were in the Championship and they continued paying top money when the team was being rebuilt. A little bit of that support and understanding needs to come the other way for a change

On that subject, next month could be a testy period to hold on to the likes of John McGinn! I'd expect Lenny to try to hold him until end of season but we'll soon see if that is wishful thinking on my part.

0762,
For years now we`ve had to watch our best players going at fees below their worth so now would be an ideal opportunity to test the boards resistance. The last 2 seasons have seen a massive increase in our average home crowd, 9500 to 17,000 and that has brought extra cash into the club. It can`t be denied that cash has meant we can attract better players and manager but it would be a shame to let it slip when Lenny is getting us going in the right direction. If we can hold on to John McGinn for another season or two he will be worth much more than any of the players sold off by Rod. fingers crossed
