Hibs v Saint Johnstone, Sat 18 Nov, KO 3.00pm - 0762 - 15-11-2017

Well the 'international break' is over and we return to the 'nitty gritty' Scot Premiership matches again while reflecting on the fact that Scotland are not one of the last few World Cup play-off qualifiers to progress to Russia 2018! Twenty years and counting! Rolleyes
Hibs will ideally be refreshed and ready to carry on with the good work v a Saints' side that clearly has a goal scoring prob and that is one main reason why they are in such a 'mess' at the moment.
I'd stick with the same winning line up v Dundee and I think Lenny will probably do likewise and see how the guys get on.

One things for certain - this saint johnstone side is as physical as they come,so I'm expecting a similar challenge to the one Aberdeen laid down for us at home.

Hopefully the referee will protect our players,i don't see us making many changes. The balance in the side looks about right currently.

Disappointing performance yesterday, not sure we deserved to lose though but their 2nd was infuriating,a complete fiasco.

We really need to sort our home form out,all season we have played better in the away games.

You are right re our home form! Never felt comfortable re attaining a winning result when Hibs play at home. Lenny must assess that irritating last secs winning goal and why it happened! Then sort it! Also sort the different mentality compared with Hibs good away form. IMO we certainly did not deserve to lose this match but we did! One big positive was Paul Hanlon the MOTM by a country mile in a strange weekend, post 'international break', for duff results where the usual 'carve up of top teams' has already made it easier for unbeaten Celtic who won again v Ross County.

Not one team won their home games in the top flight this weekend.

I watched the bbc highlights of the Hibs game again and I must say Rocky 'did not cover himself in glory' with either goal. Also re the winning goal, who was the Hibs mid player (Murray??) who effectively 'gave the ball away' from the KO?? The lad's mis-pass to Stokesy was outrageous at that stage of the match when we would take the draw and just keep possession of the ball and let them 'chase a result' but they've gotta take possession of the ball to do that - IMO fundamental stuff that needs to be sorted out and if you can't pass the ball properly from 6-8 yards unchallenged, you should not be playing footie at this level eh!

He actually made two very good saves and then had a complete mare at their goals. What can you say eh ?

Murray and stokes both were poor and really didn't help our performance at all. That said we should have got a point.
