Hello, fellow Baggies.
I want to canvass your views on Stourport as a place to live, and I would appreciate all your views, good or bad.
Tell me the good things and the not-so-good things, areas to go for, areas to avoid (such as Wolverhampton).

I have been through it and it seems a quiet little place that's on the Seven if I'm correct.
Are you planning on moving there Aries ?

Went to Bewdley last summer to watch my granddaughter rowing in a regatta.
Thought that was a nice place Aries and centrally located and only 40mins from The Hawthorns.
Not as good as the Staffordshire Moorlands though!

The scenery is wonderful, the people great and lots of good walks of varying difficulty and of course, some good pubs.
Being a born and bred Brummie with a West Brom born father, I have to say that even if I won £millions on the lottery, I would still keep my home in the Staffordshire Moorlands.

Nice little village is Oakamoor BV, with the Cricketers Arms being a typical local. The Holy Trinity Church is in the benefice of St Werburgh’s Kingsley, Rev Carol Richardson. By coincidence, a very good friend of mine, Preb Lawrence Price (Rtd) used to be Vicar at St Werburgh’s and did Services at Holy Trinity, Oakamoor. Nice part of the world and not far from the physical Moorlands and about 20mins from where we live in Leek.

Thanks for the flood-area advice, Beefy, I did check that out as I know the Severn gets up to its tricks. Thanks for the word on Bewdley too, Baggieman, I have looked there as well, and I shall also re-visit the Staffordshire Moorlands too. Enjoy your break there, Baggie Vicar!

Bewdley is much nicer than stourport mate. In the summer it becomes like Tipton on sea. Bewdley prettier and less commercialised. I have been visiting both all my life. Arley is lovely too if not a bit small but has the added attraction of the Severn Valley Railway running through it and it’s lovely old train station and the Harbour Pub.

All I can add is that its not too far from Enville Golf Club - A fantastic club with two lovely golf courses
