Betfred Cup quarter-final: Hibs v Livingston, Tues 19 Sept - 0762 - 16-09-2017 Well this home match will present a different challenge for Hibs v lesser opposition and I expect some enforced changes by Lenny after today's match v the 'steelmen' transformed from a well controlled holding 2-0 position to an unforeseen shambles of a performance late in the 2nd half. I'm expecting Marciano to be rightly dropped and Laidlaw to be brought in for this cup tie. Also I expect Lenny to give Stevo a run at left back and see how he fares v Livy - I'm very confident he'll perform OK. There could be some defensive injuries. So we'll just have to wait n see what damage is done, if any. I'd also opt for Simon Murray on the subs' bench and lets change the shape of this Hibs team a wee bit - I wanna see a more balanced permutation going into this game, one that we really wanna win and win well to 'raise spirits' after such a recent disappointment. I wanna see a positive reaction by Hibs and hopefully another cup semi-final beckons! GGTTH RE: Betfred Cup quarter-final: Hibs v Livingston, Tues 19 Sept - hibeejim21 - 18-09-2017 Whittaker definitely needs to sit this out for stevenson. I don't think marciano will get dropped, you have to be careful with keepers confidence at times. Slivka and mcgeough could come in and bolster that midfield. RE: Betfred Cup quarter-final: Hibs v Livingston, Tues 19 Sept - hibeejim21 - 20-09-2017 Hibs through 3-2. Not vintage stuff but we controlled the game well enough, scored good goals and played some good attacking football in places. 0762 was right and lennon rang the changes. Downside was the defending (again) with livi scoring both times they came forward first half. Ambrose looked half asleep and hanlon for me looks like he's lost a bit of pace. For a lot of the 2nd half the midfield didn't really click at all until dylan came on. Still, another trip to hampden can't and must not be sniffed at. RE: Betfred Cup quarter-final: Hibs v Livingston, Tues 19 Sept - St Charles Owl - 20-09-2017 Obviously 2 more games to come but Celtic should win their game and Aberdeen will be favorites for their tie, so we should end up with arguably the best 4 teams in Scotland in the semis. Its certainly arguable SCO. As it stands currently I don't think us or sevco are in the top 4 teams in the country. RE: Betfred Cup quarter-final: Hibs v Livingston, Tues 19 Sept - St Charles Owl - 22-09-2017 Who do you think are better?? Personally I think Celtic and Aberdeen are the top 2, Rangers seem to be the 3rd best and the 4th spot is definitely up for grabs for you. Hearts have traditionally been in there but the Cathro experiment has seen the fall away. All mute now as Motherwell beat Aberdeen anyway!! RE: Betfred Cup quarter-final: Hibs v Livingston, Tues 19 Sept - hibeejim21 - 22-09-2017 You answered your own question. Outside of Celtic the teams are all much of a muchness. Rangers are bang average |
