Carson denies rumours tha Caldwell has 2 games. - Dancingwilldoit - 06-09-2017

According to Radio Sheff this morning AC has denied that GC has just 2 games to save his job. With a bit of luck that means he's only got 1.
At the risk of Blue biting my head off I just hope for the first time in my life that we lose both of them.
We have a chance yet.

A denial usually means it is true.

It is terrible to feel this way.

I can't want us to lose even to be rid of the worst manager of my lifetime.

When you read about teams saying this about a manager I always wonder what if he wins both games and then slips back to losing every week.

Has Mr Carson given himself two weeks to turn his own performance round?

I hate all this. I want to be looking forward to Joe Rowley buzzing around in our midfield and earning rave reviews. I want to read about Ricky German breaking through with a burst of goals, of Charlie Wakefield's quieter progress in front of a crowd that is taking him to its heart. I want to read that DA is going to do this or that for definite and that is the way the club is going. I want to feel the club is capable of staying in the league and is looking up not down. And oh I'd like to hear that a young manager sees us as an ideal opportunity and would like to take us into the Championship before I die .........

But I still want us to win Saturday, but I do know it is a forlorn hope.

Dev,
I know exactly what you mean but the old adage short term pain for long term gain means what it says. If we do lose the next 2 and Carson turns out to be a liar (he is by the way) GC could be gone in 2 weeks time. The question then is who we appoint or even who picks him. If we get turned over by Accrington, it wouldn't be the first time we pinched their manager.
I don't want my club to lose but I certainly don't want the clown managing us atm to be around any longer. Please give me some hope !!!!

Apparently Graham Barrow is linked to the Chester job.

I'm thinking about going to Crewe its not far and it could be 3-0 to us or 3-0 to them .I think it is coming to a head now we need to go one way or the other .GC's vision needs to be coming to fruition pretty quickly .We have seen his style of play in patches and when it comes off it looks good .I like managers who are associated with a particular style and can successfully implement it, they are the ones who are most successful.
Warnock and Scotch Jonny D had reputation for the direct style with some success ,Paul Cook, like Alex Ferguson has a flowing passing style using, width again succesful.Caldwell believes in a modern patient continental passing style but is struggling to impose it .
Some managers have no particular style or do not have a vision ,these are the ones who normally fail .
I hope we win 3-0.

Train station is right round the corner.

The train station is the best part of Crewe. I'm interested that you really think we've a chance Pooch. 0-3 is absolutely beyond even my surreal imagination. Three in three weeks would surprise me! But I want to be surprised.

I'm not saying I think we will win 3-0 Dev I said it could go either way and I'm hoping we win 3-0 as you do too.Unfortunately Dancing hopes we lose and that's sad.I hope the club turns its fortunes round for his sake

Blue if it meant being rid of Caldwell I'd be happy with a 10-0 thumping. Even you seem to wavering now compared to a few weeks ago.

RE: Carson denies rumours tha Caldwell has 2 games. - bluepooch - 08-09-2017

Well with a record of 3-27 even I would be stupid to be singing his praises at the moment .I know how you feel I was the same under Wilson when I realised we were going nowhere with him .
I'm not at that stage with GC but a couple of defeats tomorrow and Tuesday will start me thinking the same way.
