Well done Terriers. - Alouion - 30-05-2017 Congratulations lads on reaching the Premier from a West Brom fan. Hope you enjoy it. Get used to your name being prefixed by "with all due respect" before someone like Savage insults you. Get used to other local clubs (like Leeds) sneering that you don't deserve to be there because you aren't big enough. Get used to being hot favourites for relegation before a ball is kicked. Get used to new Terriers' fans that you've never seen before with season tickets. On the other hand get used to some of the world's greatest players gracing Kirklees. Get used to your name on MOTD. We've been in this division for almost 10 years now. It's a bloody rollercoaster for anyone outside the top 7. Every point is hard-earned. I miss the egality and the competitiveness of the championship often. Any shortcomings in your team will be ruthlessly exploited. The bottom line is I would not want to be in any other division but there are many times when I wonder why not. RE: Well done Terriers. - HerefordBull - 30-05-2017 Great analysis of the EPL. Enjoy every moment Terriers. ![]() RE: Well done Terriers. - Lord Snooty - 30-05-2017 Thanks for those kind words and yes avoiding the drop is the target for the first season. But I don't see any reason why we shouldn't be full of confidence that we can. Alright we might get a few tonkings along the way but with the likes of Watford, Swansea, Crystal Palace, Burnley, Leicester, Brighton and Newcastle in there, all of whom we've had the better of in recent years, why the hell not? Our mantra is "no limits". And that'll be the same next year. RE: Well done Terriers. - Amelia Chaffinch - 30-05-2017 Congratulations lads ..... Lads? ![]() The common generalisation strikes again. ![]() Still struggling to take it all in. I'm already prepared for the "building you up to knock you down" attitude of the press that think they pull all the strings. RE: Well done Terriers. - Beefy 1965 - 30-05-2017 (30-05-2017, 21:53)Amelia Chaffinch Wrote: Congratulations lads ..... Who said that ![]() Anyway congratulations indeed ........... I have left a message on our forum for that other half off your'e board so snoots doesnt see it as i bet he rarely ventures over there so im safe ![]() Anyway i'm sure you will be fine and you get no sneering from our side of the board Anyway thanks for the six points next year ![]() RE: Well done Terriers. - ritchiebaby - 30-05-2017 We were hot favourites for relegation this season, so nothing new there. Top 5 again will do me, title in 2019! ![]() RE: Well done Terriers. - Beefy 1965 - 31-05-2017 Your'e on the Premiership board already !!!!!!!!!!! Someone must have bunged Stairs ![]() RE: Well done Terriers. - theo_luddite - 31-05-2017 Cheers Alouion ![]() Did Hollowmouth nick all of your first paragraph at the start of this season? ![]() Wouldn't mind following your example of yo-yo-ing for a while if it brings an end to the debt that our owner is shouldering and longer term stability. We've got a sensible Chairman like you had (until recently) and at the moment you seem to have the pick of the new Chinese take-away owners in the West Midlands. The other 3 are thrashing around like sharks in bowls of wonton soup. Savage would just about get on our bench with the way he used to play, he's just paid to wum now at the Beeb on 606. Wouldn't last 5 minutes on most fans forums. Beefy, I skipped from our board to read the Wendies board earlier and got lost on the way back. Stairs could have had the decency to let our hang-overs calm down a bit before shifting us upstairs. ![]() RE: Well done Terriers. - Amelia Chaffinch - 31-05-2017 I knew but I forgot today and went looking for us on the Championship board. I thought where are we and then realised yet again that WE ARE PREMIER LEAGUE, I SAY WE ARE PREMIER LEAGUE! It doesn't half sound weird! RE: Well done Terriers. - theo_luddite - 31-05-2017 BTW Arlouion (Ams, didn't we used to have a Town poster with a similar name? Arloui??? Where did he go? Maybe he was on another 606 type board) we sold 15,000 season tickets last season, 17,000+ for next season at early bird prices. £200 a pop for Prem football - now that's a damned good chairman - and something like 4,000 of us will get half of that back thanks to Deano's promise from when he took over. Have a feeling many of us will offer the refund back to a Town charity or the Academy tho'but, but there won't be too many strangers sat by us owd love. Stadium supposedly holds 24,500 but Red Robbo, the numpty Stadium Safety Officer, won't ever let us get near that. Seein' how you guys segregate home and away in the same stand and given none of our stands are joined together fook knows why if we applied the same principle!! So about 2,000 tickets for you lot leaves about 4,500 - 5,000 spares as absolute tops for walk-ups. PS - if they do go back on sale, it likely won't be for £200 so we don't get too many glory hunters from t'other clubs nearby buying them just to watch Man U, Arsenal, Spurs, Liverpool and of course, you. |
