Allardyce - themaclad - 23-05-2017 Looks like Big SM is leaving Selhurst PRk next destination Stadium of Light? RE: Allardyce - St Charles Owl - 23-05-2017 Where are you seeing that? Not sure why he would do that nor why Palace would let him go!! RE: Allardyce - Devongone - 23-05-2017 That'd be promotion sealed for Sunderland. How popular is an ex-Newcastle manager going to be there? Roker would simply have collapsed. Will the Stadium of Light have to be re-named? The Stadium of Dark? The Stadium of Mist? Cloud Park? The Porridge Bowl? The Far Post? Corrupt Park? Dodgy Ground? The Agent of the North? RE: Allardyce - themaclad - 23-05-2017 More like the Angst of the North, as he saved them season before last will be welcomed with open arms RE: Allardyce - themaclad - 23-05-2017 Gone from Selhurst RE: Allardyce - Devongone - 24-05-2017 I'd forgotten he saved them once. He's saved most people. Apparently he wants to spend more time with his grandchildren. Hope that isn't some sort of euphemism for seriously ill ...... When he took the England job it didn't sound as though he'd ever considered retirement. I used to like him as a centre back, big, strong and honest it seemed to me, BUT his consistent success in management has always been played out against background music of dodgy deals and agent's fees. I'm afraid he seems like a sanitised version of Steve Evans to me now. RE: Allardyce - themaclad - 24-05-2017 Possibly got to the stage where other things are more important than football |
