James McClean - CJBaggies - 09-02-2017 He may get booed by every other teams fans but what a top lad James is http://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/west-brom-six-times-james-12570419 RE: James McClean - Ska'dForLife-WBA - 09-02-2017 He has his limitations as a player, but overall I'm glad he's settled in here and been accepted for the most part (though perhaps grudgingly) by our fans. Could be a good solid squad player for some time. RE: James McClean - Alouion - 09-02-2017 I'm sure I wasn't the only one who wanted him chucked out of the club after his, to say the very least, unfortunate, start. However he is a real trier and I think all fans respect him for that. I think he will always struggle for a place in the present team but, as you say, he will always be a great squad player. He seems to like playing for Pulis and rarely lets us down. He has established himself for Ireland and, if my memory is correct, scored both goals in his last international. Although born in the North he has chosen to ply for Ireland. I wonder sometimes if there is friction between him and our other 3 N. Ireland stars. He clearly has issues with the political past in his country but, it seems to me, most folk there want to leave those issues in the past and work to build a better future for all citizens there. Hopefully his time in England will help to put the past behind him. |
