Ritchie Humphreys favourite for Hartlepool Job - spireitematt - 05-10-2014 Bookies have got Ritchie Humphreys favourite for the Hartlepool Job after Colin Cooper resigned yesterday after losing 3-0 to Carlisle. RE: Ritchie Humphreys favourite for Hartlepool Job - Devongone - 08-10-2014 Not surprised, it'll be good experience for when he takes over from Cookie, specially if he can save them. RE: Ritchie Humphreys favourite for Hartlepool Job - spireitematt - 08-10-2014 I went on the Hartlepool forum and the Hartlepool fans say they don't want him as manager because he left them to join us. But wasn't Humphreys released from Hartlepool? Also Humphreys is the PFA Chairman so I can't see him wanting to give that up. If Humphreys does become Hartlepool manager then Cookie can help him and give him tips. RE: Ritchie Humphreys favourite for Hartlepool Job - Devongone - 08-10-2014 Cooper released the Hump, one of only three players he did that to - the others were juniors - after he played for them for 13 years I think! The suggestion would be that The Hump was too senior a voice for him to handle. If the Hartlepool fans are that stupid they don't deserve him. The guy deserves their admiration for all the loyalty he showed. It may well be he has bigger fish to fry with the PFA and a place in our back four once Jones goes terminally doolally. |
