President elect Trump preparing for govt and no surprise so far!! - 0762 - 08-12-2016

One of his less noticeable appointments is the addition of Scott Pruitt to head the EPA - this man is one of these 'climate change deniers' who skirt around the climate change issues to suit their own selfish, narrow agenda and his appointment absolutely suits Trump's 'narrow politics'!! He's another appointment to add to Trump's team of powerful economic elites, white nationalists, misogynists and homophobes - this president elect has not surprised me one jot!! I was honestly hoping I could just ignore this man and 'hope he'd go away' and just get on with trying to improve the US domestic economy with no other ructions. I fear that is not gonna happen and this US president elect and his entourage are inevitably gonna be one almighty 'pain in the backside' in the years to come!!
The unhealthy signs are already there for any impartial observer to view!

The appointment of Scott Pruitt was certainly not "less noticeable" over here, its been headline news!! His views on the environment are archaic to say the least. There was talk early this morning on the news I was watching that said some of these appointments may be very tough for Trump to get ratified. The fact that 3 Military Generals are being nominated also flies in the face of the constitution where it refers to civilian appointees to overseas the military, not the other way around. There will be a process once he is in office to get these nominees through and I am hoping that the Republicans use this opportunity to put a shot across Trumps bows by having a few of these people removed and replaced, but I really don't have that much faith in the average Republican these days!!

It's good to hear that Pruitt's appointment is a 'big deal across the pond' Saint Charles Owl - there has to be at least a strong opposition to Trump's impending toxic brand of politics. Hopefully the US press/media will not 'give him a free ride' although he's already trying to 'muzzle' certain elements of the media probably because they didn't fancy his politics and didn't like him!

The biggest worry for me is trumps denial of global warming....its scientific fact now and unless we start putting some radical policy in place the world is going to be in big trouble.
Trump has u-turned on pretty much everything though. Usually they wait til they are in the white house before showing they are liars but this president has "trumped" that!!

He certainly knows how to apologise Jim. I just regard him as a 'grubby opportunist' much like his avid backer, Farage!!
