McGINN - hibeejim21 - 24-11-2016

Club pressed ahead with his ankle surgery and it has apparently went well....he will be out for 12 weeks though Sad .

Surprised we didn't wait til after the game in Dundee, especially as fyvie is injured as well.

Fingers crossed time Jim......cannot see Dylan staying fit for the 12 weeks based on his past history .......do well to make half that. Bartley is there for defensive midfield duties but hope we don't go short on the creative midfield front.

I suppose there was never going to be a good time to lose Super John McGinn. We're not short of midfield players so its time for other players ie Shinnie to step up and create more for the team.

Heard Lennon really likes young martin and he may get a chance in the run up to January.

Bartley is likely to step into the midfield for a bit, with perhaps a sneaky January deal to see us through?

Dylan's injury probs were discussed at the recent AGM when Lenny revealed that Hibs Sports Science team physios were fully focused on sorting out Dylan's injury issue once and for all. Contrary to a lotta rumours, no op was required and the prob centred on a soft tissue weakness at the top end of Dylan's hamstring that resembled a small marble. He was set to return in the next match for the Hibs dev team but being closely monitored - no report of any adverse reaction, so fingers crossed that his injuries are behind him and his presence in Hibs 1st team will compensate for the loss of John Mac. It could well be the reason why Hibs have moved early on John's op.
