Hibs Ladies win Scottish Cup! - ritchiebaby - 06-11-2016
2016 is definitely the Scottish Cup year for Hibs as the Ladies team beat Glasgow City 6-5 on penalties following a 1-1 draw after 90 and 120 minutes.
Even after the Hibs win, the commentator had to mention a "dominant" Glasgow City! Get over it, they're not dominant! Hibs Ladies made sure of that.

Yep! A cup double for Hibs men and ladies in the year 2016 when a good Hibby called Andy Murray also won Wimbledon and Olympic titles and the Chicago Cubs broke their 108 year World Series hoodoo! What a historic year of achievement! I wonder if the Hibs ladies will be given 'pride of place' at tomorrow night's AGM?

Glasgow City was probably the quicker, more direct team, but Hibs Ladies played all the intricate, free flowing football. The big feature of Hibs play was the great quality of crosses coming in from both wings. Definitely a victory for football purists.

Although away for a week but managed to catch the end of the match on alba. When we missed the first penalty I thought the girls had blown it, but a great save on their 4th kick put us right back in it eventually resulting in the win.
well done Hibs ladies, a great season taking 2 out of the 3 trophies.

Congrats to the Hibernian Ladies celebrations also fantastic. You could see how much it hurt Glasgow I noticed that when their girls got presented with their medals they all took them off straight away.
Once again well Hibs Ladies hopefully they get to show trophy off on Saturday with a bumper crowd in attendance
