Back from 2 weeks away in the USA and have tried to catch up with what has been happening down ER. From reading the report of last Sundays game it looks like our old failing of having loads of possession, scoring the first goal but then an inability to kill teams off is still very much there.
I thought from earlier games this season Lennon had changed this but as the honeymoon period after the Cup Final disappears it would seem not. As we generally get worse after Xmas I hope something changes soon. 
I'm glad to see that you have all been behaving yourselves on here and haven't come back to a running battle that would need sorting.....thank you!
Hoping we can push on with a winning run now and set up a lead before Xmas.
Off to see the ladies tonight and although I am not expecting much concerning the result ( Bayern are as much a force in the ladies game as the men are in theirs) I wanted to support them for getting there and raising the profile of Hibernian FC.

Hibs ladies well cuffed tonight by Bayern - an emphatic 0-6 result and some cracking goals scored by a clearly top quality opponent with superior passing skills and ball skills. Even the refereeing was assured tonight compared with some of the crap that we consistently observe in the men's game!

Reffing a women's game has to be easier though because the pace of the game from I have seen is a lot slower in the women's game. I was listening to a podcast today about refereeing in Holland where they are trialing video replay refs and one of the things they said was the speed of the game now simply causes even good refs to struggle to keep up or to see things clearly. This video ref will help that greatly when making key decisions and they have so far used it successfully for a variety of decisions during games. With the apparent standard of refs in Scotland being below par, I would have liked to have seen the refs given this assistance on a trial basis, not in the league but maybe in one of the cup competitions like they are doing in Holland.

Did you know that video monitors were actually used in Scottish footie a good number of years ago and they were occasionally located fairly close to the position of the fourth official. It's use was eventually shelved for whatever negative reason the SFA dreamt up.

Stubbsy was a fool to take a job at a club who are punching considerably above their weight and whose reality is to stave off relegation while accepting that its only a matter of time before they drop back down to the pub league!!

The cup win was the pinnacle Stubbs could do for Hibs and he left a legend ok maybe wrong club but what a way to leave
