Where on earth are the FL dragging the current batch of incompetent idiotic morons from?
Last night I had the pleasure of witnessing the most inept performance I have ever seen. 2 pens for them that in any other game would never have been given, a ref who completely ignored blatant fouls including a 2 footed challenge but books Wilkinson for lifting his foot to waist level then backing out to prevent the foul and Dennis for not taking a throw in and giving the ball to Donohue to take the throw. They ignored encroachment at throw ins by not even looking at the player taking it gaining absolute yards and ignoring foul throws until the noise from the crowd was so loud they daren't ignore it any more.
It just completely spoiled what was a good game. We should have been 4 up at half time and we played well. The so called rubbish squad players were just brilliant and stepped up with style.
The only thing that I wasn't happy about our performance with was our time wasting. With 10 mins to go you don't start playing possesion football in the corners, you go for the jugular. We won a corner and didn't put a single player in the box. If it was DW instructing that then I think he needs to take a long hard look in the mirror.

This Referee,im not even going to mention his name , has a poor reputation and he was alarmingly bad but i do give some of the blame to Wilsons tactics .We defended deeper and deeper as the game went on ,almost inviting a team, who were far inferior to us, to score and they obliged.
I also have to point a finger at Fulton, who should have done better with the pens and possibly the save which led to their equaliser. Now I know hes only 19 and i have no doubt will make a very good keeper in time .He is far better than Tommy was at his age but is far from the finished article and i think we should have gone for a more established keeper until Tommy gets fit.
Still i was very happy with the performance of the younger lads especially Graham ,who ive been touting since pre season and Maguire.
Also a special mention for the two strikers who both look like excellent additions now they have game time under their belts .Wilko has a special left peg .

I can't get at Danny Wilson too much as I like him but I'm baffled by how at Bury, 2-1 down he brings on Evatt when we have a young striker on the bench eager for any few minutes he can grab, but against Gillingham at 3-2 up he doesn't give himself the option of Evatt.

I know he's obviously lost some of his sparkle, but Ian Evatt once upon a time was a very good defensive midfield player. For five or ten minutes when you are winning wouldn't he be a big help in closing things down and not conceding? I know he is also a player who might grab a goal from a dead ball, but is he more likely than Ricky German or any regular striker?

I think you are bit harsh on Fulton Pooch. I've faced penalties I think I should have stopped but didn't, but it is a situation in which a keeper makes a decision he has to live with ..... left, right or wait and stop the central ones. There are clues you can pick up and ways to keep yourself calm so that you are thinking about the save, rather than envisaging a 3-3 scoreline .......... but you can only really be a hero, it's tough man who'll make you a goat from that range. Bad penalties have a pretty good chance of finding the net, because you don't know beforehand they'll be bad.

I was glad Graham's doing okay and Maguire got a chance. I don't think Danny is the most willing to change players during the game, so you assume players behind them marooned on the bench can't be very impressive. Certainly I thought that in our first few games when it seemed obvious that a combination of O'Shea and Gardener would only catch each other on a going day once every four or five games. It's hard to imagine a Reece Mitchell or Kristian Dennis can be close to a breakthrough when the most they were trusted with as replacements of those two was five minutes. I've some sympathy with fans who assumed our reserves didn't have much to offer. Certainly I thought Kristian Dennis (at his age) had to be proving he could make the jump from National League to Division One by the end of this month - luckily he has thanks to Ched's injury.

Trevor Kettle isn't liked by a lot of fans because of his weird decisions he makes.

At 3-1 up you need to look for a 4th to put the game to bed.

If your name is Trevor KETTLE you should be wary of any job involving a whistle!

When he gets home I hear he lets off steam.

If his name was cooker he would probably crack under pressure.

And if he were Mr Baker his soggy bottom would hardly be the thing for shorts.

Paul and Mary wouldn't like that.
