Man Who Never Scores Goes Ched - Devongone - 17-09-2016

Can't wait to hear how we managed that! Conor Wilkinson proved me and statistics wrong .... that he looks like striker who can't score.

Don't even know what was up with Ched till I read reports.

But Ricky German got on the field. Well done! And Dennis got a nearly full game.

And we won!

And Northampton lost. Remember when Scunny's huge run came to an end, they crashed and almost burned. Hope the same doesn't happen to Rob Page.

We were good today. All round team performance. Wilkinson looked comfortable on the ball, held it up well and has an eye for goal. Dennis ran his socks off and was a pain their backside all afternoon. Fulton looked a different player, confident and commanding his area well. Anderson has made the defence look much more solid and we soaked up the pressure well. Our counter attacking was just sublime and we could have had 3 or 4 in the first half.
Got to make a comment about the officials today, they were just god awful. The ref shouldn't be left in charge of a crèche after todays performance. He was so one sided it was unbelievable. Challenges that earned us yellow cards went unpunished on the other side and the amount of pushing in the back that went on was just incredible. Am surprised a few of their players are not partnering Tom Daly and his chums, they were excellent divers and again went totally unpunished.
Nice to see German get some game time, he looked useful in the 7 or 8 minutes he was on the pitch, one for the future.

We had a very young team on the pitch today with 6 players 22 or under so a great performance all things considered.

I'm hoping as far as Ricky German is concerned the future is already here. It would be nice to be right for once.

Ched's out for 2 weeks because of a heel injury.
