Former Everton and Birmingham City forward James McFadden is on trial with St Johnstone.
The Glasgow-born 31-year-old, capped 48 times for Scotland, has been without a club since being released by Motherwell at the end of last season.

can't get my head round the conundrum that is James McFadden, technically gifted for sure but he did tread water last year for Motherwell, he seems to be fit but just not mobile enough. He won't score the goals St Johnstone need tho, that's for sure
