Season long loan from Liddypool

Scotland U-21 international. Those words don't inspire me, but at least he'll keep Matt Duke occupied.

1.91 is quite tall.

And he's not bad-looking.

And this is definitely a great opportunity for him. If he's good enough he's old enough.

A bit of positivity from you Dev.good to see.Does it make you feel a bit better about the coming season ? Especially with him being good looking ?

RE: Ryan Fulton - Devongone - 12-07-2016

Keepers don't have to be ugly, or do dandruff ads either. I reckon 1.91m is a great height for a keeper, much taller and you can lose speed and agility, shorter and like Gordon Banks you need brilliant ability and anticipation to compensate. I'm 1.91 but that was probably the best aspect of my goalkeeping. When you see Fulton play, watch how quick his feet are. If he can move back under a ball easily, if he positions himself quickly .......... The feet are even more telling than the hands for a keeper IMO.

I still feel very negative over the decision to play Tommy at Bradford. We had nothing to gain.

I'm also worried that losing Angel again could give us all the same problems as last season, but of course if Dancing is right and this is Ollie Banks time he is obviously a player with potential (which is why he's frustrating).

The second keeper we sign will be interesting. Personally, rather than going for experience in case Fulton's a vampire, I'd sign a young developing keeper. Keeper's can have long careers and experience is important, but youngsters can do it, especially when encouraged by an experienced senior player at centre back like Ian Evatt. Another young keeper to train with and discuss the game would be good for Fulton, whereas some know-it-all old-lag happy or unhappy with the subs bench ......... What do you think?

It seems we have a trialist keeper on the pre season tour to Hungary. No details but would assume there is interest because they wouldn't pay out for him on a trip like that if they didn't fancy him.

I'm surprised we didn't sign Colin Doyle for £1, he's now gone to Bradford.

RE: Ryan Fulton - bluepooch - 12-07-2016

Danny was talking about a young keeper as back up x

What's with the kiss?

RE: Ryan Fulton - bluepooch - 13-07-2016

It was a typo not aimed at you Matt so dont worry

RE: Ryan Fulton - Devongone - 13-07-2016

Pooch, you ruined it!

That random expression of affection could have been Matt's best moment of the day ........ and now what's he left with no £1, no Colin Doyle and the hope that the trialist in Hungary wasn't a reserve to Gabor Kiraly. Cruel.
