Who do we want to play next season? - Lord Snooty - 08-05-2016

We've already got Aston Villa, Wigan Athletic and Burton Albion lined up for next season.
But coming down, we will probably have Norwich and either one of Sunderland or Newcastle.
Upwards, it's pick one from four. Walsall, Millwall, Bradford or Barnsley.

I want Newcastle and Sunderland, just for the big game value, but fear we'll be stuck with boring old Norwich.
Upwards, living in Barnsley, who else could I possibly want? We could walk to that one, couldn't we Amelia? Big Grin

Who do you lot fancy?

Was hoping for both Newcastle and Sunderland, but seems Norwich have screwed that up. Prefer Newcastle out of them two, and it's looking almost nailed on. Thumb up

I prefer Newcastle to come down. Looking forward to Burton. I like them. Hope we hammer Villa. Wigan and Norwich are two boring ones I didn't want. Hope Millwall don't make it through the playoffs. I don't mind if Bradford come up but would prefer Barnsley or Walsall.

Don't let Marco hear you call Norwich boring, he has a soft spot for the place.

Happy so far with Villa and would love Newcastle and Sunderland to join them but I'm afraid it'll be Newcastle and Norwich.
Wigan, yes another away fixture for me to avoid...full of dickhead drunks on a away day (what's that....pot...kettle...)
Burton, new ground for me although our allocation is likely to be about 1400 so better steam in early for a ticket.
Bradford or Barnsley, due to my location it has to be Barnsley plus we can stay in the pub until 14:20

Looks certain be Villa (brilliant for me as the closest ground to my brother), Newcastle (great weekend away) and Norwich (yawn) coming down. Coming up we already have Wigan (yawn x2) and Burton (new ground), and I'd love Barnsley (local, play good stuff and pretty much all my mates support them) to join them.

Anybody but Millwall. There's allus more coppers than fans when they come here.

I wanted both Newcastle and Sunderland down, as both would be easy for me to get to for away days.
As much as it would be a good local derby, I just can't go against every bone in my body......no to Bradford. Barnsley will do.

Not really interested in the Premiership Paratroopers but had an old mate who supported Walsall and he used to get some terrible stick from Villa and Brum fans so .... Barnsley over the Bantams any day. Keep Millwall in their reservation.
UTT.

I stuck most of this on the Brentfud fred.

So now we know we've got Wigan and The Brewers, a visit to Millwall to replace the day trip to Charlton doesn't cut it for me. Given how close they are geographically, the're fans are chalk and cheese in mentallity. Give me another Yorkshire derby over Walsall, even though I've only got to roll out of bed and jump on a bus or two to get there.

Might have had me wotnot's cross threaded at the time. We already know who's coming down. I know they could fill 3/4 of the ground, like they did against Town back at Leeds Road when Keegan missed his (just about) only match of the season, but let's not get carried away for that one, eh Deano?
