Poor Scotland U17s v Portugal: beaten 2--0 in the UEFA Championship - 0762 - 08-05-2016 I watched most of this match that was played in Azerbaijan and it was startling to see the huge difference in physicality and technical ability. Portugal dominating events from start to finish and the young Scottish players 'trying to keep the score down' - a very depressing watch!! ![]() They were previously beaten by Belgium as well but it's good experience for the Scott Gemmell's U17 Scottish lads. However, I do wonder whether most of them have any chance of making it at the highest level of pro footie!! ![]() RE: Poor Scotland U17s v Portugal: beaten 2--0 in the UEFA Championship - supercooper - 09-05-2016 It seems to be a trait with Scottish kids, being physically inferior to other nations. And the added problem of not being coached properly from an early age adds to the issue. RE: Poor Scotland U17s v Portugal: beaten 2--0 in the UEFA Championship - 0762 - 09-05-2016 Too many fish n chips, not enough steaks Cooper? ![]() Some of the young Portuguese players just looked so superior in size and ability and it was an eye opener to see that they were aged under 17 years of age! ![]() |
