Is it time to protest again if Saturday's match goes 'tits up'? - 0762 - 05-05-2016 That really is a catch 22 situation when you sit down and think about it.! We have a Scottish Cup final looming ever closer but the main priority for our season, promo, could possibly be prematurely removed on Saturday by opponents who I classify as being very poor and we really should not even be playing a play-off QF round anyway - it's been a f### up by a Hibs team and manager who should be 'waiting in the wings' in Falkirk's place - a farce of Hibs own making!!! Obviously, with a cup final coming up, nobody wants to see early protests like this but I think Hibs board/certain Hibs officials deserve some kinda 'wake up call' because they've not delivered the 'do minimum' scenario that Dempster preached often enough to Hibs fans and shareholders alike, many of whom ploughed more money into the club in good faith. A positive result would clearly change things but there's no guarantee that will happen with certain Hibs players not exactly 'busting a gut' to absolutely turn over a poor Raith side albeit the team played reasonably well! Why? Saving themselves again? RE: Is it time to protest again if Saturday's match goes 'tits up'? - hibeejim21 - 05-05-2016 If we lose on saturday stubbs will stand down after the cup final. Lets see what happens on saturday first though, and get behind the team! RE: Is it time to protest again if Saturday's match goes 'tits up'? - 0762 - 05-05-2016 Personally I'm all for his removal hibeejim if the 'nightmare scenario' unfolds after the cup final but other Hibs board members could well walk away from the flak AGAIN!!! RE: Is it time to protest again if Saturday's match goes 'tits up'? - TheWorthinGer - 05-05-2016 You've reached 2 finals and, bar a miserable run of matches in from Feb to April, played really well this year - why would you want the manager to walk? I find that a little bizarre. If you had gone out of both cups early I think you would have been challenging up to the final few matches. RE: Is it time to protest again if Saturday's match goes 'tits up'? - hibeejim21 - 05-05-2016 Again though - you have to ask, what can a manager do in the face of that miss from cummings last night, (not the first embarrassing one this season either) or that defending v falkirk, or those basic finishes fluffed in the last 2 games that would have got us second ? The players need to take some of the responsibility. RE: Is it time to protest again if Saturday's match goes 'tits up'? - 0762 - 05-05-2016 Oh yes but you're missing the point re Stubbs starting the season with Cummings as his No1 striker. Farid was still out and that decision alone baffled lotsa Hibs fans like myself, particularly with a lazy Dominique Malonga randomly contributing to the goals tally. That criticism was based on observing the striking events of season 2014-15!! Cummings would definitely contribute but was he ever the prolific pen box striker that we really required??? Never!!! Also Stubbs' decision-making is highly questionable, before and during matches and many cabbage fans are beginning to see through the fact he is not getting the best out of a decent squad of players - they should not be losing to a shit Raith team TBF!!! Also reverting back to Malonga's exit - why is a scoreless Dagnall inHibs squad with Malonga gone? Another baffling move by Stubbs! Fontaine is a 'pale shadow' of the decent player that I watched last season before he was offered a 3 year contract by Hibs. Why has he changed for the worst? Is it because he's not getting a regular slot in the team? Lastly was the sudden introduction of the goalie, Conrad Logan, a Stubbs inspired move or was it inspired by fan pressure? I'll give Stubbs his due - he found him and brought him in but that's it! To be fair, since the end of the January transfer window no team in the division has won more points than Raith Rovers. They clearly are not a shit team. Get with the programme: Raith are shit and Falkirk are inferior. That sums up a Hibs sandwich. RE: Is it time to protest again if Saturday's match goes 'tits up'? - 0762 - 05-05-2016 Get with the debate and make a constructive comment eh! Not a stupid one! Oh I forgot, it's you again - looking for the appropriate reaction because you have nothing better to do with your time! ![]() RE: Is it time to protest again if Saturday's match goes 'tits up'? - Fredstersafool - 05-05-2016 Hibs really should have finished second but the players IMO have let there manager down |
