FANS BOARD ELECTED - struth - 25-09-2014
Rangers have announced the 12 members of a new fans' board they hope will usher in a "more structured dialogue" with the football club. Former Rangers captain David Weir and Scotland rugby player Al Kellock were members of the nominations committee.
Elected were Alison Clark-Dick (female fans), Christine Murdoch (families), Gary Gillan (overseas fans), William Gillan (fans in Glasgow/Govan community), William Paterson (disabled fans), Zia Islam (ethnic minorities), William Findlay (under-18s), Robert Callaghan (Ibrox match-ticket purchasers), Thomas Clements (corporate fans), Alan Harris (fans attending away games), Tom Johnstone (Rangers Official members) and Alan Fraser (season ticket holders).

Let us hope it does become the useful exercise in direct involvement that we all hope it should be.
Shame on me though, I did not participate in the elections !

Aye, it seemed like a good idea at the time, but there's a couple of names on there I wouldn't trust with a dog on a leash. Each of these board meetings could easily turn to xxxx anarchy if they're allowed any sense of position, I fear.

My basic assumption about all this is that either the fans board will be hijacked as a platform to attack the corporate board, or it will itself be attacked by the UoF mob and the like for being stooges of the corporate board.

Dave would possibly have been a contender too given his family and business connections with the club.
