A change of venue for our Scottish Cup semi-final? - 0762 - 07-04-2016 I know it's not normally considered by the SFA for any Scottish Cup semi-final but the latest info I'm picking up from Hibs is we've only sold about 7000 tickets and United fans' interest is not much better with about 5000 fans bothering to buy tickets. The high pricing (£28 or £18) of these tickets appears to be a major factor in rendering this game being played in a vastly empty Hampden Park stadium. The SFA appear to have matched up to the other OF semi-final ticket pricing, which IMO is utter folly in trying to draw in a healthy attendance. I'd rather see the match being played at the likes of Tynecastle and currently regret buying my tickets for the North Stand! RE: A change of venue for our Scottish Cup semi-final? - hibeejim21 - 07-04-2016 General sale starts this weekend doesn't it ? RE: A change of venue for our Scottish Cup semi-final? - 0762 - 07-04-2016 Yep hibeejim and I hope there is a reasonably positive uptake of tickets before 16 April but I'll be surprised if the attendance for this match tops the 20k mark. The high pricing of these tickets is one big issue and it appears to be the same for United fans as well. As said previously, my tickets are bought. So we'll make the most of our outing to Hampden Park via Rutherglen and pray for a second victory over Premiership United - good practise for the ultimate play-off matches! ![]() RE: A change of venue for our Scottish Cup semi-final? - St Charles Owl - 07-04-2016 If that is the case then 20k is very poor for a semi final with two of the top 6 supported teams in the country taking part!!! At 28 quid for a ticket, I cannot see that being the issue either as that price seems about right to me for a semi final. RE: A change of venue for our Scottish Cup semi-final? - 0762 - 08-04-2016 I disagree with your view of £28 being a reasonable price for this type of match ticket St Charles Owl! I think prices of £22 or £16 would have been applicable and note that top price would have been a couple of quid dearer than my previous League Cup semi-final ticket for the match v St Johnstone. Also remember most Hibs and United fans have to travel to the Glasgow venue as well!! It's not free travel!! RE: A change of venue for our Scottish Cup semi-final? - St Charles Owl - 08-04-2016 This is a cup semi final we are talking about!! Making tickets 6 quid cheaper shouldn't make that much difference for a cup semi!! You were recently bragging about the 20k plus that went to Hampden for the LC final the other week and rightly so, but this match should see the same number of tickets sold by Hibs again!! RE: A change of venue for our Scottish Cup semi-final? - 0762 - 08-04-2016 There are still tough times for many people/fans in this country St Charles Owl and money is tight. I wish many officials in Scottish footie would acknowledge that fact a bit more! RE: A change of venue for our Scottish Cup semi-final? - hibeejim21 - 08-04-2016 SCO. It is a dear day out. You gotta factor in the 10 pints required to get through a hibs hampden experience as well ![]() ![]() RE: A change of venue for our Scottish Cup semi-final? - Trusevich - 08-04-2016 (08-04-2016, 13:43)hibeejim21 Wrote: SCO. Wait, no, you just need to fire in a repeat prescription a couple of days in advance. ![]() (08-04-2016, 11:52)0762 Wrote: There are still tough times for many people/fans in this country St Charles Owl and money is tight.
