Oxley v McGinn & Man of the Match - HerefordBull - 13-12-2015 One thing is for sure neither Oxley or McGinn would have been up for Man of the Match. ![]() It is always hard for Goalkeepers as they may only have a couple of things to do all game ( as Oxley had yesterday) but a speculative , not very well hit long shot squirms from his grasp and leads to a goal....instant villain. McGinn through a rash challenge leaves his team for over half the game down to ten men is equally culpable as we had to change the tactics to defending with 2 banks of four and trying to break quickly and thus giving them the ball in the second half. Having said that Houston only had one thought....pump crosses into the box as we are vulnerable........well yesterday Mr Houston we were not and it took a large piece of good fortune for you to score. You didn't even create anything when we were down to 9 men. ![]() Finally after all the poor decision making , mainly by Clancy with the whistle, who decided that Cummings was Man of the Match ? ![]() ![]() It seems the people who choose it always want to give it to the "glory" goalscorers and are not able to read the rest of the game and team. Yes, Cummings worked hard yesterday but so did the rest of the side and he didn't in the end do what he is paid for....score a goal. He shouldn't have got it for his blatant dive trying to win a penalty anyway! ![]() ![]() Anyway we got a " Get out of Jail " card yesterday, lets make good use of it next week against Queens ![]() GGTTH ps 'mon the Bairns next week RE: Oxley v McGinn & Man of the Match - 0762 - 13-12-2015 Good comments. Re john mcginn, I reckon he'll miss the rangers match because of the nature of his offence - prob a three match ban. His mid physicality will be missed if this is the case! RE: Oxley v McGinn & Man of the Match - 0762 - 14-12-2015 I watched mcginn's lunge again on the bbc I player and it's serious foul play - a one match ban! Phew! I wanna see mcginn's physicality at ibrox because imo rangers don't have any player to touch john on that score. He proved it against them in the er match that we deservedly won. RE: Oxley v McGinn & Man of the Match - hibeejim21 - 14-12-2015 Didnae look like violent conduct to me,that's for sure. There was no malice in the challenge. Think it might still be a 2 game ban coming his way though. RE: Oxley v McGinn & Man of the Match - HerefordBull - 14-12-2015 Aye, having seen it I think it was just over commitment. Will have to wait and see how the powers that be view it. ![]() RE: Oxley v McGinn & Man of the Match - hibeejim21 - 15-12-2015 Just heard houston is supporting mcginns appeal. Fair fucks to him for that. RE: Oxley v McGinn & Man of the Match - 0762 - 16-12-2015 Good on him for a change. If you look closely at that incident, McGinn's head is actually turned away from his opponent and the ball for a split second - just a mistimed/ill judged challenge! RE: Oxley v McGinn & Man of the Match - hibeejim21 - 17-12-2015 mcginns suspension has been downgraded to a retrospective yellow card. he can play v queens and sevco now. |
