after our opening woes - 4evaabaggie - 16-08-2015 Saw that some of our former academy lads had a good weekend, young Mantom and Roofe, nice to see our academy can produce footballers just need to get a few more the quality of Saido, that can push us on. Anyone have news on other former academy players. RE: after our opening woes - May68 - 19-08-2015 I see Izzy Brown is now on loan at Vitesse. I wonder if he regrets leaving us - other than his weekly paypacket of course. Can't see him becoming a Chelsea regular. RE: after our opening woes - 4evaabaggie - 19-08-2015 Wasn't his reply, when asked, before the Chelsea game in May, do you regret leaving Albion when you could have been playing first team football and you see how Saido has progressed. HAVE YOU SEEN MY CAR?. Or is that an urban myth RE: after our opening woes - talkSAFT - 19-08-2015 (19-08-2015, 16:12)4evaabaggie Wrote: Wasn't his reply, when asked, before the Chelsea game in May, do you regret leaving Albion when you could have been playing first team football and you see how Saido has progressed. HAVE YOU SEEN MY CAR?. Or is that an urban myth It was true. One of our U21s coaches was interviewed about 18 months back, (after Berahino had broken through) and mentioned he had spoken to Izzy, and asked him if he regretted going, and that was is reply. Nevermind! HAVE YOU SEEN MY CAR?. Or is that an urban myth To be fair, Izzy wasn't mentioned by name, although there aren't many other people it could possibly have been. (Maybe Jerome Sinclair at Liverpool, at a push?) HAVE YOU SEEN MY CAR?. Or is that an urban myth He's three months older than Izzy Brown, so if Brown could have one then Sinclair could too. I do think Izzy's the most likely suspect in that story, but as he wasn't mentioned by name and there are other possibilities, I just think it's a bit unfair to say as gospel truth that it was him. RE: after our opening woes - 4evaabaggie - 19-08-2015 Cheers guys that's now as clear as mud, however I would not want to dis anyone without the whole truth, so benefit of the doubt and all that, anyone hear good things about any other of our ex academy lads. Love when our youngsters do well. |
