Yesterday and Ongoing - bluepooch - 09-08-2015

One word to sum up yesterdays performance .Purposeful.
Now I know that there is no substitute for quality and we have lost some quality players but there are other ingredients needed to make a succesful team and we saw in Dean Saunders team an excellent work ethic and fitness level to enhance the quality from the players that remain .
I've seen enough in pre season and yesterday to be optimistic and If we can add a bit more quality to the team I really believe there is a chance we could be challenging at the top end this season.
Tuesday will be interesting if Saunders plays some of the fringe players because it will give us an insight into how good the depth of the squad is.

This is really getting boring now - I agree with every word.
Cant you at least drop something in like - If we don't get promoted this season I will run down our street starkers ?

Did anyone see who crossed the ball for Sam Vokes' equaliser for Burnley?

RE: Yesterday and Ongoing - bluepooch - 09-08-2015

I predicted Clucas may struggle and he goes and scores but Tendayi will be fine.
Looks like there may be one or two coming in tomorrow .

Just thought Id throw that one in there as a teaser.Dancing should put it on the main board it will create mayhem

This was in the Sunday Mirror.

"Clucas had his footballing career put back on track by a spell at Glenn Hoddle's football academy in Spain and Tigers manager Steve Bruce said of Clucas". "It just goes to show if you have got the attitude never give up. There are some great success stories like that".

If you are referring to me as "anyone" I take great offence, I am not and never have been an anybody!

Both our ex boys did well this weekend it seems. Yes Dev I did see it and it brought a smile to my face. But the highlights didn't show how many crosses he put over the roof of the stand (only joking).
Again I agree with Blue that I thought Tendayi would do better than Clucas but who knows how far they could both go with the right coaching. Having said that I wasn't aware that Clucas had been to the Glen Hoddle school for wayward boys so who knows what he could achieve. Hope we have sell on clauses for both.

Couldn't help having an even bigger smile on my face over Gills 4 Sheff U 0. Don't know why but I have a funny feeling that the marriage in heaven could well go tits up. Sometimes great expectations only result in disappointment and I just hope we get a result there next weekend.
