Dev, don't know if you have read this -

The striker's 67th-minute leveller will live long in the memory, and Gnanduillet explained the thought process as he prepared score his spectacular goal.

He said: "I saw Tendayi [Darikwa] with the ball and Tendayi is my man but I know that sometimes he misses the cross so I just tried to take the ball in the air and I smashed the ball with all my power and that's it.

"It was a good goal and a great cross from Tendayi but maybe I was a little bit lucky to score a goal like that against a good side. I'm happy, but so are the lads, it's not just me, everybody's happy."

Thanks Dancing, I liked Orrell's goal too.

Tendayi does sometimes miss the cross, but listen to the commentary on the goals. Whose name is central in two out three goals we score and that's about average for all the goals we ever score ...... could just be a full back called Darikwa. It's what you get right going forward, not what you get wrong. It's when you're defending you avoid mistakes.

Tendayi has definitely moved up a gear in the pre season friendlies. Maybe to impress any watchers. Either he or somebody else has been working on his final ball without doubt as he has had quite a few assists which is very unusual for him.
Not sure where he will end up but I would have no problem keeping him if he continuous as he is playing ATM but who knows, I get the impression that it doesn't take much to knock his confidence as we have seen over the last year or so. I hope he puts it all behind him as there is undoubtedly a good player in there. He just needs to build consistency into his game.

I'm sure he lacks confidence. Remember when he was injured, it took ages for his form to return. When he's playing well without having to think too much about his game he goes well ...... but I'm sure his brain is chiefly a doubting mechanism.
