Powell on the look out for a loanee striker - Amelia Chaffinch - 16-09-2014 Well, according to the Examiner, he said so. http://www.examiner.co.uk/sport/football/news/potential-loan-striker-targets-drawn-7777255 RE: Powell on the look out for a loanee striker - WakeyTerrier - 16-09-2014 Is this him? RE: Powell on the look out for a loanee striker - theo_luddite - 16-09-2014 6 that the Unexamined have picked for him Out of that lot - Chris (would likely cost a fortune in wage/loan fees but he will score goals) Wood is rightly number one pick for almost everyone in the Championship wanting a striker and either Danny (could also possibly cost a fortune in wages/fees but currently can't score a goal for the life in him so he'll fit in well here) Graham or Grant (would be a good foil for Wells but the back 3-4 would just lump the ball up the park to him all the game) Holt might be worth a punt. No opinion on the rest of them as I've never seen any of them play that I recall. RE: Powell on the look out for a loanee striker - Marco4 - 16-09-2014 Not the Newcastle lad, he's too young. Trotta is quite mobile from what I've seen, but I'm not mad keen. Jermaine Easter is a huge no. RE: Powell on the look out for a loanee striker - Lord Snooty - 23-09-2014 Marco. What's this fella like? Town linked with former Chelsea striker Marko Mitrovic RE: Powell on the look out for a loanee striker - JUSTASILLYOLDGIT - 23-09-2014 Reading bits'n'bobs on this fella. Sounds like as big a gamble as Vaughany to me! RE: Powell on the look out for a loanee striker - Lord Snooty - 23-09-2014 And we have a couple of lads from Exeter lined up as well. RE: Powell on the look out for a loanee striker - Marco4 - 24-09-2014 (23-09-2014, 18:46)Lord Snooty Wrote: Marco. What's this fella like? If he came, I'd guess it'd be on a deal that took his injury record into account - he hasn't played since September last year. As such, he'd be cheap, but has decent pedigree. Don't rely on him for anything, and it couldn't really go wrong - he'd be a talented option that cost little or he'd be a gamble with injuries that didn't pay off. For what its worth, I think I saw him once during his time at Brescia, but he didn't stand out particularly. Serie B can be like that, though - its so slow and deliberate. RE: Powell on the look out for a loanee striker - JUSTASILLYOLDGIT - 25-09-2014 Not just a striker short term. More a complete overhaul by the end of January, if the Examiner is to be believed. http://www.examiner.co.uk/sport/football/huddersfield-town-boss-chris-powell-7833842? RE: Powell on the look out for a loanee striker - Lord Snooty - 26-09-2014 Apparently, Grant Holt is about to sign on for us. |
