Russell Slade - turkeydinner - 15-09-2014 Leyton Orient manager Russell Slade has been told by owner Francesco Becchetti that his job is under threat following their poor start to the season. The O's lie one point above the League One relegation zone ahead of the trip to Notts County on Tuesday. "The president has been honest enough to tell me we have one game to sort it out," http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/29205751 Shame he`s done wonders really, it dosent seem that long ago a former School teacher with no professional background became Notts county`s manager and now one of the most respected coaches in the lower divisions let alone the fourth longest serving manager in the league! Good luck Russell prove em wrong RE: Russell Slade - themaclad - 24-09-2014 Slade has resigned looks like he is Cardiff bound RE: Russell Slade - Lord Snooty - 24-09-2014 Can't blame him. Why should he show loyalty to a chairman that was about to sack him? Very strange goings on. Well, from the outside anyway. As we all know, there's always something more going on on the inside that we don't know about. Which is why when a manager leaves, so called expert pundits should keep their gobs shut until all the facts are known. RE: Russell Slade - St Charles Owl - 25-09-2014 I think its great to see a team relegated from the prem take a chance on a guy who deserves that chance somewhere!! He has served his apprenticeship, will be interesting to see what he can do with some money to spend!! RE: Russell Slade - turkeydinner - 25-09-2014 http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/29355312 Just read it looks a certainty now, has shown promise for a long time without coming from a professional background, perhaps clubs should look more to managers who can create good sides from little money rather than those name managers who have money thrown at them from day one |
