Bob's bores seem to be having a breakdown over the apparent availability of Big Kev, as Preston won't offer a contract.
I don't think he'll want to travel back to Chesterfield, but it would've been nice if one of the Bobbers had mentioned what a great player he was for us.
They seem to think he should perhaps play for us out of gratitude for what we did for him. He only got us to the FA CUP SEMI FINAL you idiots. He only got in our first team at 16 for chrissakes ...... how many others have ever done that?
And then they use the opportunity to diss Nando, saying Kev scores even less goals than him!
What is wrong with these people? How much could a forward learn from Kevin Davies? A few of his wiles passed on to Nando, yes I'd go for that.

During the FA cup season it seemed like every goal we scored had Davies involved .That's how immense he was for us.

He did well for Preston this season he played 40 games and scored 1 goal but he's 38, would he be worth a 1 year deal? We could offer him a coaching/playing role. It would not surprise me if Fleetwood or Morecambe offered him a role.

Yeah, as usual Bob's Board made me angry because the fans there don't display any lasting values. I can see the point of view of a fan who might not want Kevin Davies now, but really he should be regarded with absolute affection by anyone who supports Chesterfield. He did brilliantly for us and personally if he came back to where he started in any role I'd be delighted. But like you Matt I think a Lancashire club with a bit of vision might be where he ends up IF that's what he wants.

I avoid Bobs board as much as possible its full of egotistical people who use the club as a vehicle to air their self important views.

I think it is the open nastiness that sometimes does for me on Bob's Board. Maybe it is egotism Pooch, they don't care what comes out of their keyboard ...

A lot of them on there are fantasy football managers and are a little unrealistic.
