RE: Turkish Delight - Devongone - 10-06-2015

I need this explaining.

RE: Turkish Delight - bluepooch - 10-06-2015

Rumours we are trying to arrange a home friendly with Galatasaray. Link to Saunders.

Great. Thanks Pooch.

I was once in Istanbul working for a few days when Galatasary played, Fenerbache I think. The noise and excitement around the city was amazing. The Turks should really be European champions, their enthusiasm for football is overwhelming. Though they seemed friendly they were a little suspicious of an obvious foreigner like me, until they found out I liked football. A delight!

I suggested on the friendly thread we ought to play Darmstadt, our twin town, too. It couldn't be bad to form links with a newly-promoted Bundesliga club ........ easy loans and even transfers within the EEC are just one aspect of a link.

Get Turkey in the EEC and we might raid the Galatasary youth team?

Looks like there could be some truth in this.

Come on Matt you know when I post anything there's some substance to it !.Time is dragging on though .An announcement needs to be made soon .

RE: Turkish Delight - Devongone - 28-06-2015

Why on earth would Crewe want to play Galatasary behind closed doors? It's like us fixing to play Barcelona at Morecambe.

RE: Turkish Delight - bluepooch - 28-06-2015

Id go and see that even though i've never been to Morecambe.

Can promise if you had both been to Morecambe you would change your mind. Its like Clay Cross on Sea except Clay Cross has fewer boarded up shops.
