Ryan Jack - turkeydinner - 20-05-2015 Very happy about this ![]() Shows great ambition from Aberdeen and dare I say makes the SPL that tiny bit stronger keeping such a good young player a bit longer http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/32815770 Aberdeen midfielder Ryan Jack has extended his Pittodrie contract until the end of the 2016/2017 season. The 23-year-old had a year remaining on his previous terms. Dons manager Derek McInnes told the club website: "It shows real intent from Ryan to play his part in a successful Aberdeen team. "It also demonstrates the club can hold on to its good players as well and hopefully Ryan can continue to impress in an Aberdeen shirt next season." Jack, who made his Dons debut in 2010, has featured in 42 matches this campaign, scoring three goals. RE: Ryan Jack - St Charles Owl - 21-05-2015 Its important for Aberdeen to keep their best young players under contract. That way they will either help the club on the field or they will be sold to another team for decent revenue to fund the club further. RE: Ryan Jack - turkeydinner - 21-05-2015 We lost Fraser Fyvie (Wigan), Jack Grimmer (Fulham) and Ryan Fraser (Bournemouth) even though we lost them we got a small fee due to their age but because they left so young it was a bit of a pittance Really glad that Aberdeen and other clubs now put a lot more into developing their young players as huge transfer fees arent sustainable year in year out |
