Orange Transfer thread - turkeydinner - 14-05-2015 Since were being linked with anyone who is Dutch lets have a look at the real, possibles, no ways and no thank you`s Ron Vlaar- oft injured and slow is hardly what we need, I reckon we`ll pass on this even if he is a freebie Arjen Robben- No cant see it, too much needed by BM and not a spring chicken for the future either Gregory Van der Wiel- already at a big club, has never done it like he did at Ajax, its a no from me Georginio Wijnaldum-Good player but another attacking midfielder isnt really what we need Nigel de Jong-Not the yongest, would certainly add steel not sure of his contract situation at Milan Wesley Sneijder-Again a bit of a veteran but massively rated by LVG, this may happen Paul Verhaegh-If Clyne is a no-go, the veteran RB with a 100% penalty kick record may be looked at Leroy Fer- With QPR relegated dont bet against it, has served LVG well in the past may be more the player when surrounded by better players Luuk De Jong- Definitely could happen, a good target man and a successor long term for RVP Joel Veltman- a younger, cheaper version of Hummels? although its possible that if Hummels is a no then may again look at Stefan de Vrij of Lazio RE: Orange Transfer thread - St Charles Owl - 14-05-2015 To be fair I am not sure there is one name on that list that should be a target for MU!! They need to buy younger than most of them to start with and should be supplementing youth with real world class quality. Its adding players that didn't really improve the squad that led to the struggles under Moyes in the first place!! RE: Orange Transfer thread - turkeydinner - 15-05-2015 I dont have a problem with Dutch players or players who come from the Erdevisite-(Romario, Ronaldo, Luis Suarez etc) For me they are still the greatest side never to win the World Cup I think Depay is a massive signing for us, some will grumble we didnt spend x much on Bale and X much on Cavani, despite our riches sometimes its finding talented players in a slightly lesser league rather than paying top whack for those coming from Italy or Spain(slightly Germany and France) Wijnaldum for example has just Captained PSV to the title by 10 points, 24 years of age and 300 games already under his belt, the next Phillip Cocu? Luuk de Jong or Radmael Falcao? To me its definitely the former given this season and the huge wages, he`s enough there to be the next RVP or RVN so why not? Veltman or De Vrij would be a step up from Johhny Evans! I seriously think Fer is an interesting one-he`s played for Norwich and QPR who are not the greatest EPL teams and playing for a greater team might show the player we saw at the WC |
