Newcastle vs WBA - Match Thread - Ska'dForLife-WBA - 08-05-2015
I'll keep things fairly brief; thanks to our tremendous win at Old Trafford last weekend, Albion are now most of the way to mathematical safety, needing just a result or two to go our way for our Premier League status to be confirmed for a sixth season. Of course, we could also put the stamp on it ourselves with a win at St James's Park tomorrow. We're the form team in the league, Newcastle have lost eight on the bounce, they're being managed by a bloke who looks like he got the job by winning a raffle down the pub, and their players - the ones who aren't injured or suspended - don't even look the slightest bit bothered about what happens to the club. So inevitably, a lot of long-time Albion fans are shaking their heads and predicting that this is going to be nailed-on victory for Newcastle.
But perhaps not. Hopefully if our boys haven't switched off completely since crossing the 40-point line, we can turn the toxic atmosphere at St James's Park to our advantage and make it to safety in style.

Hopefully we go at Newcastle right from the off if we could score early the atmosphere at St James Park will soon turn again and should play into our hands, With safety all but guaranteed i hope Pulis looks at this as a real opportunity to go and have a real go at Newcastle.

Hope I'm wrong and we give it a real aggressive, front foot approach - in fact I'd rather us do that & lose - but I doubt it

Gary Lineker confirmed Newcastle should be fine after the eased to a 4-0 win over WBA,
No joke .........
However as we know Albion are the givers to all poor teams on a awful run, hence my prediction of 2-1 to the Toon.

It's all set up for a Newcastle win isn't it ! They are in disarray and can't win for toffee and we have just won at Old Trafford.
Think it will be the normal shut up shop away from home so 1-0 either way.
If we can score first then game on.

I remember the 3-2 well, I was at Villa Park and they were playing Arsenal and N'Zogbia actually had a good game, Albrighton scored the 10,000th (or 20,000th) premier league goal, Yossi Benayoun managed to score a header aswell and Arsenal won 2-1 Arteta had a cracking game. One of my favourite albion games that 3-2 win. Brunt, Scharner and Ba wow, that throughball.
We're destined to somehow lose this.

Think we should have gone 2 up front today as their nerves are shattered. We are giving them hope at the minute and although we've hit the post they are putting the crosses in.
