A Long Summer - talkSAFT - 07-05-2015

We'll all have to think hard for ways of keeping this Forum going during the Summer. It's understandably gone quiet the last week or so, (and I'm hoping the players haven't turned off now, as every League place is worth £3m or so, which is not to be sneezed at).

There will be lots of speculation on the Transfer Window thread to keep that one alive, but we've all got to plug away with different issues, or switching onto Sportsbabble will cease to be a habit.

There was a weekly thread last Summer (that took us through to August), on Albion's A to Z, with a new letter of the alphabet each week, which Ska'd introduced each Monday (say) with a list of players old and new beginning with letter A, B, C, etc. We then named our favourite, or least favourite, players and recalled games and memories. Anything to keep our interest going.
Of course, we could always go onto the Warwickshire or Worcestershire forums....

But let's get creative, and keep going through the Summer, starting after the season ends.

Talking about players leaving etc.

Just been onto the Cheltenham Town website and they are letting no less than 14 players go as they have now tumbled out of the league and into the Conference. That's a hefty price to pay for relegation.

The only one that surprises me is their goalkeeper Trevor Carson who in the last few weeks has done more than most to keep them up with a string of fine saves.

I hope that Trevor gets a new club soon.

With transfers and some more random discussion we should be able to keep the forum fairly active, everyone just keep coming on. We'll still have DD's jokes thankfully.
