Have you noticed how basic nosh is now becoming posh nosh. Went to a posh restaurant is Didsbury recently and Snoots had a fish finger butty!

They call it reimagining; personally, I think what happened is that basic food used to be home made (people still do occasionally make their own burgers, say) but convenience took over, so basic food gradually became processed, cheap and nasty. When done well, however, it has just as much right to a menu as anything.
