Bradford City @ Valley Parade 6/4/2015 - themaclad - 05-04-2015

Pressure on with the Dons cutting the gap to five points after the demolition of Swindon yesterday, they seem to have their better players back so it's crucial to get something from the Bantams tomorrow. City still in with a shout of the play off as well following their easy win over Donny on Friday night.
Tough game you now what you get with City a tough physical battle with lots of crosses being hammered into the box. They rested Stead on Friday would not be surprised if he plays tomorrow.
Personal view would play Davies tomorrow also expect Huntington to return. Hard game to call a win would put a stella amount of pressure on the Dons.

The scoreline shows that Preston won 3-0 at Bradford this afternoon, does not tell the story every credit to the home side and their supporters who did not give up throughout the 94 minutes.
Under the cosh for the first 10 minutes from the towering Hanson who won every ball that was lobbed towards the sky and believe there were thousands of them, however the course of the game was changed by the early sending off of City defender Routis, misjudged the bounce of the ball which let Garner speed towards goal he brought him down and saw red.
North End rarely got close to the City goal, apart from Gallagher free kick and a Garner effort which should have been better. The main danger to North End was the crowd's insistence we have a player sent off, every foul was greeted with a storm of protest from the seats and the Bradford bench(Parkinson is a tit at times). The ball was still being propelled skywards and at times it was hard too figure out who was playing with 10 men.
On the stroke of half time City should have been ahead, Clarke woefully under hit a back pass, all Stead had to do was score, he didn't he fired it straight at Johnstone.
Within a minute of the second half starting, Beckford was brought down in the box, Gallagher's initial shot was saved but he got the rebound, within a couple of minutes, the left footed wand of Johnson had made it two after great work by King. Home and hosed not in the slightest, City brought on their subs and through the kitchen sink at us, you could feel the tension in the away support as the ball was blasted into the North End area. Knott tried his luck with a 35 yards volley brilliantly saved by Johnstone, Yeates was also denied by another worldie save. Needed a third goal which cam 10 minutes from time Humphrys shot took a deflection Meredith and landed in the net, cue a collective sigh of relief from the 2100 away fans.
Job done at a very tough ground to visit, next up Bristol City and whisper it quietly we are after them.

Great result, starting to look good but still too many points on offer for any complacency. You are right though, get after Bristol in the next game and the title could be in reach!!!!
