Nando's Loan Discredits The System - Devongone - 22-03-2015 First week he sat down. Second week he came on in the 85th minute, but got over 14 minutes, enough time to get booked, due to extraordinary over time played as Oxford slumped to defeat against the worst team in all four divisions. This week he got four minutes with the team at 2-0 down away. Oxford's manager, who can barely recall the last time his team scored, is a horse-faced waste of an office. If he can't imagine how a 6ft 4ins French/Ivorian who has stretched some defences a division higher and scored when on loan for relegation rivals Tranmere can do a job I've no idea why he signed Armand. We should learn and never loan him a player again. It can't have been an experience Nando's enjoyed. Equally when we're getting 55% possession, against ten men and the shot score is 17-8 to us despite our playing our most versatile utility player at centre forward, wouldn't you have liked us to at least have been able to bring this player on to save a point? Luckily England is to be allowed exceptionally to continue this imaginary emergency loan nonsense for another year. Significantly the only Mancunian philosopher who smiles less than Morrissey, John Sheridan, thinks English football can't survive without this very particular brand of idiocy. I realise the message to both Gnanduillet and the fans is that he'll be leaving in the close season, but shooting both him and ourselves in the foot to issue the statement seems like an instruction manual for self-harm. RE: Nando's Loan Discredits The System - bluepooch - 22-03-2015 Id like to know how many emergency loans Rotherham have made .It seems to be about two a week .Talk about abusing the system. It smacks of desperation by fat boy . RE: Nando's Loan Discredits The System - Devongone - 25-03-2015 Rotherham players are appearing for lower-division teams around the country, whilst they bring in emergency and youth loans to cover the gaps they themselves created in their desperation to avoid the drop. The system isn't a system, it's a farce. The excuse for youth loans is that it gives competitive football to young players stranded behind expensive imports at big clubs - but in most cases it actively inhibits their progress. They can't impress their own manager because they are a hundred miles from home. Harry Kane probably learnt a bit from his loan spells, but he didn't shine. His chance to shine only came because Adeybayor and Soldado so conspicuously failed in the system the manager wanted to play. The question is how many other Harry Kanes does the loan system turn into lower-division players? This season we saw Daniel Johnson at the Proact; however much he shone at Chesterfield and then Oldham it seemed his Aston Villa card was marked ..... he was on his way. Even in a terrible Villa team no one thought two or three first team games might unearth a real player. Yet teams from our level have slaughtered Manchester United and Chelsea this season, which must suggest a player consistently displaying talent at our level ought to rate a second look. Quite simply loans areb ollocks. Crawley just signed John Cofie. Once a budding star at Man Utd. He had several loans, seems to have progressed backwards, now at 23 he's had very little first team experience and is actually a gamble for Crawley, who hope if it comes off it could keep them up. RE: Nando's Loan Discredits The System - spireitematt - 26-03-2015 Armand has been recalled back but won't be allowed to play on Saturday against Walsall but will be available for the Bradford game on Tuesday. RE: Nando's Loan Discredits The System - Devongone - 27-03-2015 Thanks for that Matt. Obviously Oxford's dork of a manager will miss him. Not. |
