THE LAST MATCH
So the last home game against Fulham pretty much followed the same shit path that so many of our home games have so far this season!!
After a turgid first half from both teams we came out of the block faster in the second half and took the lead, missed a few chances to put them away, conceded a soft goal and eventually hung on for the bore draw!! Sure the pitch is a disaster but its the same for both teams, we just seem unable to adapt to the conditions no matter what they are, but then with SG at the helm we seem unable to do any adapting in any area!!

So we go back on the road and visit Wolves for this one. Wolves were relegated from the prem, dropped straight through the Championship and finally got their act together to easily be promoted last year from the pub league. This season they started slowly but now find themselves just outside the playoffs and fighting for that 6th place with Ipswich and Brentford. It wasn't but a few weeks ago that we were neck and neck with them and dreaming of maybe getting into the playoffs as well!!
This will be the 112th meeting between us and our record is W35 D31 L45, so for the first time in a while we face a team with a better record against us. Even worse we have not beaten these guys in the last 10 games, with our last win being back in the 2005-06 season, but it doesn't stop there you have to go back to 1990 for our previous win to that one, so that a run of 2 wins in the last 24 meetings!!!!
Its high time we started reversing that trend!! Earlier in the season they came to Hillsborough and the curse of the ex-Owls player played its part beautifully with Leon Clarke getting an 84th minute winner for them!!! CLASSIC MATCH
No real classics that have any video attached to them to show here involving us, so I thought I would put up a video of the "classic" First Division playoff final from 2002-03. Yes, you guessed it, as the season winds down and the Blunts find themselves hanging onto a playoff spot in the pub league I thought I would highlight a game that is part of their rich histroy with the playoffs!! The blunts went into the playoffs having finished 3rd with Wolves finishing 5th, so they were slight favorites but the match was done and dusted by halftime with Wolves getting 3 first half goals!! Watch, enjoy and then get ready for this seasons debacle in the playoffs from our neighborhood blunts!!!
