The FA are charging Brunt with abusive language and/or behaviour towards a match official after Saturday's game.

Just what we needed Doh Should have nutted the ref and Sherwood as well, at least it would have made his ban worthwhile.

Looks like it will be Lescott at LB for the foreseeable, we can't have an actual LB like Poco playing there can we Confused

Not like the FA have anything else to be looking into! Doh

The players and fans safety doesn't matter but god forbid if someone tells the ref to F Off!

Absolute disgrace!

I should bloody well hope Brunty used foul and abusive language towards the ref. The pillock deserved it. But what a good job the FA have got their priorities sorted.

The ref's had a shocker and it's fair comment for him to be told how bad he was - just a question of the language/wording used. He should also be held to account for his decisions.

RE: Chris Brunt FA Charge - Ska'dForLife-WBA - 09-03-2015

At the moment, I think the FA have got it all wrong over referees. I don't doubt for a minute that it's a difficult job, and endless TV analysis and the amounts of money at stake on ridiculously fine margins make it so much worse. But right now, the official line seems to be that referees are infallible, and when they make an obvious glaring error - like that awful "offside" call in the Spurs match a few weeks back when the penalised player was in his own half, or sending off the wrong Sunderland player at Man Utd - they try and explain it away rather than admitting they got it wrong.

They want respect for refs, fair enough. But they have to respect everyone else involved in the game too. Don't try and fob us off. And get your priorities straight on violent conduct and racism before you worry about a player saying a naughty word to the man in black.

RE: Chris Brunt FA Charge - aries22 - 09-03-2015

Can you use the word black nowadays?

RE: Chris Brunt FA Charge - WillieJohnstonsGreenhouse - 09-03-2015

After the abuse our players had to endure just to get off the pitch, let alone ballsing up a trip to Wembley, surely he can appeal for telling a ref he's an utter idiot??

'Can you use the word black nowadays?' - stop being naughty aries! ! !   Angel

(ps. don't like to throw a 'LIKE' around but spot on everyone)
