World Cup 2026 - hibeejim21 - 05-12-2025 Scotland get Brazil Morocco and Haiti. Looks like one of the games might be in boston/philly. Brazil will be in Miami. FFS Only Scotland could wait nearly 30 years to go to a World Cup, the most expansive one in history, then end up with nearly the same draw as the last time they were in it. If Denmark qualify via the playoffs they will land an easier draw England as Per get the pish easy group, I was almost expecting Spartans or Peterhead to come out of pot 4 That freaky looking gimp Kane will have scored about 20 goals before they qualify. Totally rigged for TV audiences. Totally contrived. RE: World Cup 2026 - Lord Snooty - 06-12-2025 How on earth did Rio Ferdinand land that gig? RE: World Cup 2026 - hibeejim21 - 06-12-2025 6 figure fee he got for that the night. RE: World Cup 2026 - WakeyTerrier - 06-12-2025 Pish easy group? Alright Croatia aren’t the team they were 7 years ago but it’s still a tricky tie, Ghana was the one team I wanted to avoid out of all the options from pot 3. Agree that Panama should be easy enough. Croatia are at the end of their line of generational talent, their best players are long gone. They are bang average. Ghana have been poor for ages now. How you can say that's not an easy group for England ? They will win that group at a canter. RE: World Cup 2026 - themaclad - 06-12-2025 Scotland games are at 2am and 2 x 11pm kickoffs England 2x 9pm and 1 x10 pm RE: World Cup 2026 - Lord Snooty - 11-12-2025 Three thousand, one hundred and nineteen pounds! https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c80x38e04yro THREE THOUSAND, ONE HUNDRED AND NINETEEN POUNDS?!?!?! World's gone mad. RE: World Cup 2026 - WakeyTerrier - 12-12-2025 Well it’s official, FIFA don’t care one bit about the supporters. If I’m lucky it’s Cat 3 tickets for the group games and a Cat 3 for the final. That’s $5,890 that I have to pay in February, if we don’t make the final then I get a refund some time after the World Cup but it will be minus a $50 refund fee. FIFA are also reselling tickets on their site that fans don’t want. This comes with a 15% fee for both the seller and the buyer. Ticket prices are way above standard prices so in effect FIFA have created a black market to profit from. How much money do they need! Broadcasting Rights $3.92 billion TV rights deals from across the world (BBC, Fox etc) Marketing/commercial rights $1.78 billion Adidas, Coca-Cola, Visa, Hyundai, etc. Ticket Sales $2.3 billion 104 matches/16 cities Hospitality & VIP Packages $700 million Corporate boxes, luxury suites Licensing & Merchandising $111 million Licensing revenue (e.g Video games), merchandise deals Other Revenues $72 million Fan zones, hospitality, data licensing Total Projected Revenue $8.9 billion |
