LAST MATCH

We made it 3 defeats in a row as high flying Boro took the points. We were behind early when Boro got down the left and the ball was crossed for Whittaker who fired past emergency keeper Lumley although the goal could have been ruled out for offside. Boro should have been awarded a penalty when Lumley brought down Conway but the ref played and they missed a few other chances but still went in 0-1 at the break. Onto the 2nd half and we started brightly, Ingelsson forcing a save from there keeper. Boro came more into the game as the 2nd half wore on and Lumley made several good stops to keep the score down. We huffed and puffed to the end of the game but didn't find an equaliser.

THE MATCH

Next up and another home game as Oxford make the journey north. Not too surprising to see Oxford lingering around the relegation zone and that's where they will most likely be come the end of the season. With ourselves already realistically down, that leaves just 2 spots in the relegation zone. If Oxford can pick up there home form they might have a chance of staying up again like they did last season, if not they will be joining us in the pub league. They are managed by Gary Rowett, who took over in December 2024 and kept them in the division. There leading scorer this season is Lankshear with 3 goals.

Also be interested to see who’s in the posh seats tomorrow - a bunch of people in suits but wearing Scream masks so they don’t now who else is bidding? Im hoping the atmosphere is something akin to the Peterborough game with a well oiled crowd. Probably not going to be as easy for Oxford as they thought.

Bloody great Karma too that the lead Admistrator is from the local Begbies and a wednesday ST holder !

RE: The Owls v Oxford SBC Match Thread - Statesideowl - 24-10-2025

Small mercies. Pigs have just thrown a two goal lead against Preston. Laugh

Good to see Smith hasn't improved since he left. Just missed an absolute sitter to make it 4-2 and score against the piggies, but no..

RE: The Owls v Oxford SBC Match Thread - Imre varadi - 24-10-2025

To think we was brought up on strikers like Andy Mac TC Banno Imre Chapman Hirst Bright ..and then we got players like smith and pato ffs

Mr nice guy pederson now has to step up or be gone basically new owners won't fall for mr nice guy shit he is now in a job ...let's see how he does no matter what shit he has if he can't do it then maybe frank Burton can !

Get Warnock in this is the time

Pigs going down with us

RE: The Owls v Oxford SBC Match Thread - Statesideowl - 25-10-2025

They're leaking goals this season which hadn't been a problem before as Piggy Wilder loves his 1-0 wins it makes his curly tail go stiff.

There's a small chance we could actually score against them, if Ugbo isnt playing.

RE: The Owls v Oxford SBC Match Thread - Imre varadi - 25-10-2025

Iorfa is back ffs
No brown meaning lazy arse jenny gets another game.
Fusire surely can't be playing anything other than DM meaning we will play 3 at the back and get caught ?
And a new face on the bench from Honolulu.
It's pretty shit I don't expect anything else but another loss Oxford will be looking at this as one of there easiest away games !
