Derby day - Inverurie Jambo - 04-10-2025

Unlucky Hibs, unfortunately beaten by a quality cross into the box and a sublime finish by Craig Halkett

RE: Derby day - HerefordBull - 05-10-2025

Aye ek a great finish as not an easy ball to take coming over your shoulder. From the highlights, not a lot of good football but how often have we said that at an Edinburgh derby! Hearts wanted it more at the end.

I see Gray played his usual hoof ball towards Bowie who needs longer studs as he spends most of the time on his arse. Yet again Hibs try to defend near the end of a game but struggle to keep the ball out and at the cross that led to the goal, both of his forwards were on the 18 yard line so when the ball gets booted away it is going to come straight back at you........they need an "out" ball to relieve the pressure. Thought McInnes was braver with his subs and wanted to win the game but he could also see Grays idea was to see out the game for a draw so could pile his players forward.

hfc aka catman, is missing you by the way lol Big Grin

Aye the cat man. I won’t be back on that forum(sns) as we’ve started a new forum. He can chat away to himself in the future

Laugh Laugh Laugh

I might have known you pair would make an appearance after that result. Laugh

For what its worth i think we were comfortable for most of the game and created the best chances. Very nearly did what we did to Celtic previous.

I'd like to see us being a bit bolder going forward in our coming games.

RE: Derby day - hibeejim21 - 21-10-2025

Like Saturday - that was much more like it.

Only Hibs could spend that kind of dough on a striker and then not play him.

RE: Derby day - hibeejim21 - 29-10-2025

And again at the sheep pen on sunday.... this is what happens when you are a bit braver attacking. We have the players to hurt teams.

Here's hoping for a win against Sevco tonight, our tactics against them have been all wrong of late.

RE: Derby day - hibeejim21 - 03-11-2025

SDGs game management again shown up at the weekend. The campbell sub was just bizarre when i felt we were in control. Boyle didn't look too happy.

The managers changes tend to weaken us rather than strengthen us.

RE: Derby day - Inverurie Jambo - 03-11-2025

Jim, do you think Gray is running out of brownie points accumulated from last season or should Hibs persevere with him? Honest question btw

RE: Derby day - hibeejim21 - 04-11-2025

I think persevere - if you will excuse the pun - for now. He is still a relatively new manager.

But i think we should be doing a wee bit better too, the squad is stronger than many i have seen for a while at easter road and the tactics and his management of games is not getting the best out of them.
