After a quiet start, Birmingham took the lead when Stansfield blocked a Amass clearance and was quickest to react and finished well. Birmingham had a lot of possession but didn't create much and then we levelled things up when J Lowe capitalised on a Brum error and scored. 1-1 at the break. Onto the 2nd half and the pattern continued with Brum possession but Horvath wasn't having too many shots to save. with 15 minutes to go Bannan swung in a free kick and George Brown guided the ball into the net. We defended heroically but were denied 3 points when Grey smashed one in from about 12 yards. The Sky Blues have made an excellent start to the season, wining 4 and drawing 4 of there first 8 games, and currently lie in 2nd place and are scoring goals for fun, 22 so far in the league. If they can keep that up they will have a serious chance of making one of the auto slots. They are of course managed by Frank Lampard, who took over in November 2024 and took them to the playoffs only to lose out to Sunderland.
