It's back to the weekly grind for the Baggies following a well-earned break which the club spent in 2nd place. Of course, it was a similar story this time last year, and back to back meetings with Middlesbrough and Leicester in the remainder of September will put our promotion credentials to the test soon enough. But first we welcome Derby County to the Hawthorns, winless this season despite having put us out of the League Cup, and struggling near the foot of the table.

And we all know how this goes, don't we? Having lost three on the bounce to the Rams - four if you include the cup tie - the fickle finger of Fortune isn't even bothering to send the banana skin in disguise. A second win at the Hawthorns on the heels of April's victory would, in fact, make it consecutive league successes for Derby in West Bromwich for the first time since August 1936, and indeed, the team's general away record under John Eustace has been a positive one.

On the plus side, Isaac Price's form is Albion's secret weapon, with the young man netting a magical back-post volley from a corner against Germany during the break. As we saw against Portsmouth last month, margins can be narrow when things don't run in our favour, but we should have the tools to see Derby off if we can bring them to bear.

Smile Have Derby become the new Stoke for the Albion? That seemed like Smile Smile “wash, rinse, repeat” from the Carabao Cup.
Should we put this result down to “one of those days” or do people feel there’s something more fundamentally wrong?

On a lighter note, went to watch Forfar Athletic v Dumbarton on Saturday and it was a highly entertaining game, if somewhat low on skill

Sorry about the grinning emojis, no idea what happened there

Played Derby twice this year, they have had two shots on target resulting in two goals and we have lost both ties having been dominant in both.

I think we need a goalkeeper better than Josh, I haven’t seen him play as I haven’t watched much football due to the greed league but I just don’t think he is as good as some keepers we have had in the past.
That maybe harsh, did he have much chance with the goal or was it out of his reach?
He just seems to let in unnecessary goals.
