Hibernian v Kilmarnock - hibeejim21 - 10-08-2025 Just heading off to our first home game of the season, taking my nephew to his first hibs game today! Its a lovely day for it and we are going into this game on a real high after our 2-0 conference league win in Belgrade. Hopefully another 3 points to keep the momentum up and spirits high. RE: Hibernian v Kilmarnock - 0762 - 10-08-2025 FT and a disappointing 2-2 draw in which we have irritatingly given up a two goal lead and also lost another "worldy" of a 25 yard goal (that's the 3rd one conceded in 3 weeks!!) from Killie's 18 year old player, Brannan. In reality, Hibs should've been ahead by three or four goals by HT, such was the vg performance in that 1st half and in spite of David Gray resting certain Hibs players, incl Boyly, for good reason - as the saying goes: "Bigger fish to fry" in the next seven days! Grant Hanley also started in place of Iredale in an unusual back three defensive line. Played well and a tad unlucky not to pick up 3 pts. We move on to a packed ER Stadium on Thursday night v Partizan Belgrade - no slip-ups please Hibs!! RE: Hibernian v Kilmarnock - hibeejim21 - 10-08-2025 That 2nd half performance was dreadful, like the players legs stayed in the dressing room at the interval. After that wonder strike the belief fell right out of the team and Killie were the more likely side to win. Some real WTF defending around our own penalty box 2nd half too. Shame because 1st half we were really excellent with Josh and Youan pulling the strings and we looked "the part". Couldn't see us not winning. I just don't see it with Obita or Campbell either. The former is your classic example of someone who hides out wide. Hanley will be a good addition once he is up to speed. Next up a trip along the M8 to Livingston, one of my least favourite places on the planet. |
